Shields nude scenes upset director's wife

Aruna Shields's next film Mr Singh Mrs Mehta has upset director Pravesh Bharadwaj's wife with its "excessive" nudity.

His partner Shruti has objected to three sex scenes in the film featuring the British-born actress and her co-star Prashant Narayanan, the Hindustan Times has reported.

Bharadwaj told the paper: "I think she is upset that her husband made a film where nudity is central to the story itself. Actually she doesn't approve of the script and the reason being nudity."

However, the director adds that the love-making sequences are integral to the film's narrative.

The domestic drama has also previously faced the censors, who suggested that the helmer pixellate a scene showing the Prince actor's bare back.
