Lohan allowed to keep extensions in jail

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been allowed to keep her hair extensions while serving her prison sentence.

Authorities have said that the move should not be considered special treatment because of Lohan's celebrity status, reports the Los Angeles Times.

It is thought that the LA County jail staff did not remove the star's hair extensions because they are sewn in close to her scalp.

According to a Sheriff's Department spokesperson, hair extensions are only removed from inmates when they are detachable from the inmate's hair. Lohan's were bonded into her hair.
