Demi Moore puts paintings up for auction

Demi Moore is to auction two paintings that could fetch more than $1.5m (£950,250).
Moore is offering up two 19th century European paintings at a Sotheby's auction in November, reports Access Hollywood.

The first, William Bouguereau’s Frere et Soeur, is an oil painting of a young woman holding her baby brother and could sell for $1.5m.

The other painting, Mere et Ses Enfants by Belgian painter Alfred Stevens, is expected to sell for up to $200,000 (£126,700).

The actress said that the Bouguereau piece inspired her in her life because it depicts a strong woman.

"I find Bouguereau to be particularly engaging for me personally and have chosen to hold on to a smaller piece to carry with me throughout the years," she said.

The auction will take place on November 4.
