Taylor Swift wins merchandise lawsuit

Taylor Swift has reportedly won a lawsuit against traders accused of selling counterfeit merchandise.

According to The Nashville Post, the 'Teardrops On My Guitar' star has been successful in her attempt to stop 16 people selling unofficial goods with her trademarks and image attached.

The 19-year-old reportedly filed the trademark infringement lawsuit in May 2009 after discovering that the items were for sale in cities during her tour.

The newspaper reports that a court order was issued last week to destroy the counterfeit products that were seized.

A representative for Swift has yet to comment.
