Bipasha Basu 'faces obscenity charges'

Bipasha Basu has become embroiled in an obscenity row after the publication of images of the actor in the Indian edition of Maxim.

According to PTI the complaint was made against the star by a local advocate after the magazine was released in January.

Advocate Nisar Mohammed stated that his wife and children "felt outraged" after Mohammed purchased the recent edition of the men's lifestyle publication, which contains a series of racy images of Basu.

The case, which will appear before the magistrates court in Bhopal, is scheduled to be heard on February 15.

Basu is currently shooting the US film Singularity, which has been partly shot in Brisbane, Australia and India.
