Luis Miguel 'in critical condition'

Mexican singer Luis Miguel is reportedly in critical condition after contracting an infection following a cosmetic surgery.

According to Perez Hilton's celebrity gossip blog, the 39-year-old is being treated at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for a bacterial infection in his blood.

The Grammy winner is believed to have fallen sick while apparently recovering from a liposuction procedure.

Physicians are experimenting with different antibiotic treatments to treat Miguel.
