Kangana Ranaut's latest project was stopped mid-shoot by protesters who were angry about the decision to film a scene inside a mosque.
Tanu Weds Manu is a comedy set in the Punjab, which co-stars multilingual actor Madhavan.
According to New Kerala, police decided to stop the filming in order to prevent the shoot being disrupted by angry locals.
A source told the site: "Members of the film unit had started installing the sets inside the mosque [on] Friday night.
"On seeing this, members of [the] Muslim community gathered outside the mosque and started raising slogans against the administration and the filmmakers.
"They threatened to interrupt the shooting as it would allegedly affect their religious sentiments."
