I couldn't strip completely naked

Shakira has admitted that she could never strip completely naked for a photoshoot because of her strong Catholic roots.

The singer, who wore a skin-tight body suit and danced in a cage for her 'She Wolf' promo clip, said that although she is reluctant to bare all at the moment she could change her mind in the future.

Shakria told Tagesspiegel: "I don't want to and I don't have to. I couldn't strip naked. Maybe when I'm 40 I will change my mind.

"Around ten years ago I couldn't imagine putting on a skin-tight body suit and high heels and dancing in a golden cage, hanging upside down from the bars. Today I'm saying I'll never show myself naked. Our opinions change all the time."

She continued: "I was brought up in a very Catholic environment. My father has Lebanese roots. I grew up on the north coast of Columbia where life is quite traditional. There are things I'm not courageous enough to do."

Shakira recently opened the World Cup with her official anthem, 'Waka Waka'.
