Angelina Jolie 'signs up for Twitter'

Angelina Jolie has reportedly signed up for an account on Twitter.

According to Us Weekly, representatives for the Salt actress have secured a domain on the social networking website but it is currently locked and inactive.

"Jolie had her people obtain the account for her so no-one else could have that username," claims one source.

However, the insider went on to say that Jolie could use the account "later this year" to discuss "charity-related items" or share links.

Jolie is currently on a world promotional tour for spy thriller Salt.
