Mallika Sherawat is reported to have approached the Bombay High Court to withdraw a criminal case filed against her.
The application had been filed against the actress in April 2009, charging her with performing obscene acts.
According to the Indian Express, Sherawat failed to appear in court at the time as she had been working in the US.
Social worker Rajnikant Borile, who brought the case against the star, felt that she had performed obscene acts in the films Murder, Maan Gaye Mughal E Azam and Shaadi Se Pehle.
Sherawat recently returned from the US to start filming Dhamaal with Sanjay Dutt.
