Alpha and Omega


Shipped away from their home by rangers, two wolves — a born leader named Kate (Hayden Panettiere) and her goofy suitor (Justin Long) — brave the wilderness to make it back to their pack.

 Underwhelming in the style of most off-brand CG, Alpha and Omega is livened by pretty Rocky Mountain backdrops and leadened by stock characters and the wolves' weirdly prissy behavior. When a full moon comes out, they lift their heads and croon syrupy harmonies like American Idol hopefuls, presumably because it's beneath them to howl. You, on the other hand, might be tempted.
