The show is slated to go on air in January 2011 end.
It is based on the ''Wipeout'' game show, which has been successfully aired across 22 countries. ZKJ will have 16 episodes spread across four weeks and slotted for prime time. The 30 celebrity contestants for the show include Ashima Bhalla, Claudia Ciesla, Dimpy Mahajan, Narayani Shastri, Vindu Dara Singh, Akashdeep Saigal, Amit Sareen and Karishma Tanna who will fight for the 15 final slots. There is no elimination in the game which has total prize money of Rs 1.5 crore, including winner's prize of Rs 50 lakh.
Khan, who had hosted TV shows like ''Kaun Banega Corepati'' and ''Paanchvi Pass'' will not only be the host-anchor, but will also be present live at the location in Argentina.
Interacting with media here today, Khan said he was glad to be back on television, from where he started his two-decade long career.
''The show will bring fun back to the Indian bedroom, where all the family still gather to watch television together. The show is a family show with a touch of naughtiness, where one can have a good laugh at other people's discomfort. My role will be that of an anchor, commentator and storyteller,'' he said.
Although, there will be no moral or social messages, the show will be dignified and clean. The show's universal appeal, the fact that it is in Indian language (Hindi), and having a 'popular' anchor will be factors that mark the show, the actor.
''I want to perform on different platforms, and my job is to entertain- the only thing I know. I even dance on trains when asked by the public. We are starting with celebrities, as the public knows their lives. Going by audience response, we may include participants from the general public,'' he added.
For Imagine, the show is entering the Hindi GEC with a bang.
''We plan to rip open the Hindi GEC and plan to take the fight to the enemy with this insane and over the top show,'' Turner General Entertainment Networks, owner of Imagine channel, CEO, Sameer Nair said.
