‘Ra One’ sets record with Rs5.2mn sponsorship

MUMBAI: Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming flick ‘Ra One’ has added one more record to its list by getting a Rs5.2 million sponsorship before its release on October 26, hence, recovering a major portion of its promotional investment.

The most awaited and high-budget movie already holds multiple records.

"The marketing spend on the movie has been 'subsidised' considerably through tie-ups with over 25 major brands," according to a statement by Eros.

The movie will be released in 2D and 3D formats in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu in over 3,500 screens worldwide.

No other bollywood movie has ever been able to secure place in so many cinemas at one time.
