Action works for Akshay, `Rowdy Rathore` earns Rs 29.8 cr

Mumbai: It seems that viewers are liking Akshay Kumar in his action hero avatar in ‘Rowdy Rathore’, which earned Rs.29.8 crore on the first two days.

‘Rowdy Rathore’ is Akshay`s widest release so far on 2,800 screens in the country, said a statement. Made on a budget of Rs.45 crore, the film released Friday and grossed Rs.15.10 crore on the opening day.

Directed by Prabhu Deva and co-produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ronnie Screwvala, the film marked Akshay`s return to a full-fledged action role after seven years.

Apart from entertaining audiences with raw action, Akshay is seen romancing Sonakshi Sinha in the film. Source:http://zeenews.india.com
