Beyonce is raising awareness of world’s humanitarian day and has recorded a video clip in the hall of UN General Assembly that will be used to celebrate World Humanitarian Day on August 19.
The solemn chamber of UN General Assembly was transformed for the occasion, with an attractive stage and a huge screen.
The video, which the 30-year-old singer offered as a donation to the UN, will be included in a campaign broadcast on the internet at www.whd-iwashere.org, illustrating the work of humanitarian organizations all around the world. The video will be accompanied by acknowledgement of millions of volunteers.

Video of Beyonce’s performance on “I was here” will be released on Aug. 19 on World Humanitarian Day, which honored 22 humanitarian workers who were killed in a 2003 terrorist attack in Iraq.
Beyonce said from the stage, “I’d like to ask everyone to make sure they’re a part of August 19th, it’s such a beautiful, beautiful day, and I’d like to honor the 22 people who lost their lives. God bless you all. Thank you so much for having me.”
The singer is working to raise awareness of World Humanitarian Day, for which she is hoping that 1 billion people will surely sign up to help someone else.
