Freida Pinto will miss Cannes festival

Freida Pinto will not be attending the Cannes International Film Festival as previously reported.

The actress was due to appear at the festival with the rest of the cast from Woody Allen's You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger.

However, she is now unable to walk the red carpet because she has shooting commitments on another movie.

"This is to confirm that Freida Pinto unfortunately will not be attending the Cannes Film Festival as she is shooting for Immortals in Canada," Real Bollywood quotes her spokesperson as saying.

Immortals, directed by Tarsem Singh, is due for release in 2011.
