Travolta Drops Extortion Charges

John Travolta has decided to drop the charges against the Bahamians who were attempting to extort them in connection to their son, Jett’s, death.

The two defendants in the case, Pleasant Bridgewater and Tarino Lightbourne, had attempted to extort millions of dollars from Travolta and his wife.

Bridgewater and Lightbourne tried to force the Travolta’s (John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston) to pay them a large sum of money in exchange for them keeping the ambulance waiver in connection with their son’s death, under wraps.

The first trial ended in a mistrial. Instead of going through the entire ordeal again, John and his wife opted to drop the charges. The couple doesn’t want to relive the horror of their son’s death and the subsequent attempt at a shake down.

The Bahamian prosecutors can choose to re-file the case later if they’d like, but it isn’t likely since Travolta doesn’t want to continue.
