MJ was afraid that he was gonna end up like my father: Lisa Marie Presley

Michael Jackson's ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley has revealed that the King Of Pop always feared of dying in the similar way her father Elvis Presley passed away.

Jackson constantly told her of his fears when the two were married in the mid-1990s.

Presley was chilled when she heard the King of Pop had died from an overdose of powerful anaesthetic Propofol last year (Jun09) - because in many ways the tragedy mirrored that of her father''s passing in 1977.

And her ex-husband''s fateful words came back to haunt her.

"When I was watching the footage of the ambulance backing out of the driveway, I went back to this conversation I had with him (Jackson) at Neverland in the library; we were sitting by the fire," the Daily Express quoted her as saying in TV chat with Oprah Winfrey.

"He was telling me that he was afraid that he was gonna end up like my father. He was always asking me about when he died and how it happened," she said.

And Presley still can''t believe how many similarities there are in the drug-related deaths of the two men she loved: "Down to the play-by-play-by-play incident, it was identical.

"It really blows me away to be honest with you. I still try to figure out what is it that I had to go through it twice, where these two incredible people... had the same fate. What is it about me? I went through it once and that was painful and I went thought it again and I don''t quite understand it," she added.

I didn't understand my relationship with MJ, says ex-wife Lisa Marie

Michael Jackson's ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley confessed on The Oprah Winfrey show that she failed to understand her relationship with the King of Pop.

"I didn''t understand my relationship with him," UsMagazine.com quoted her as saying.

Though skeptics have labeled their 18-month marriage a sham, Presley, 42, insisted it was the real deal -- though she understands why Jackson''s behavior might cause people to question its validity.

"To some degree, he was a master at manipulating the media," she said.

"I understand that nobody really knew who I was. They just assumed I was going along with something he would be doing....I understand it better now. The manipulation was a survival tactic for him," she added.

Bret Michaels released from hospital

Bret Michaels has been released from hospital, it has been announced.

TMZ reports that the former Poison frontman, who was in a critical condition a fortnight ago after suffering a brain haemorrhage, was today discharged from the clinic in Arizona.

Dr Joseph Zabramski, who last week praised Michaels for his "great will to live", said that the stabilisation of his condition is "very lucky".

Zabramski claims that the rocker, who starred in this season's Celebrity Apprentice, will move to another location to continue his recovery.

Bret Michaels has 'great will to live'

Bret Michaels's doctor has said that the rocker's "will to live... is undeniable".

However, while the Celebrity Apprentice star's condition is improving, he still has a long way to go, according to Entertainment Weekly.

"There is no doubt that Mr Michaels’s condition is serious. We are treating the subarachnoid haemorrhage, which caused his severe cranial pain," said Dr Joseph M Zabramski.

"Mr Michaels will continue to undergo testing considering we have hit a few roadblocks including hyponatremia, severe cranial and back pain suffered from blood drainage, an emergency appendectomy performed a week earlier and a lifelong history of Type 1 Diabetes. However, Bret's sheer will to live and fully recover is undeniable. He has an unbelievable fight in him and told me what kept him alive at the moment of the haemorrhage was that he ‘did not want his family to wake up and see him lying unconscious in the middle of the floor'."

The physician also revealed that it was the former Poison frontman's fight to live that helped to save his life.

"It was a combination of Bret’s fight to stay conscious during the haemorrhage and get to the emergency room, and the immediate medical attention provided by our staff at Barrow that enabled us to stabilize his condition.”

Bret Michaels 'remains in critical condition'

Bret Michaels has reportedly remained in critical condition.

Michaels, who suffered a brain haemorrhage and was then stabilised at hospital, has been in intensive care since his arrival and doctors are still in search of the source of his bleeding, according to People.

A post on Michaels's official website read: "At this point Bret remains in ICU in critical condition. He is under 24-hour doctors' care and supervision. We are hopeful that further tests will locate the source of the bleeding, which has still not been located.

"As we all know Bret is a fighter and we are hopeful that once all is complete the slurred speech, blurred vision and dizziness, etc, will be eliminated and all functions will return to normal."

The message also recognised his fans for their support since the news broke on Friday.

"Everyone at Michaels Entertainment would like to thank all fans and friends for their continued thoughts and prayers through this difficult time."
