R&B Singer Arrested For Assaulting Mother

Popular R&B singer and one-time ‘Dancing With The Stars’ contestant, Mario, was jailed today for reportedly assaulting his mom, Shawntia Hardaway. According to Hardaway, Mario begin throwing things around in their apartment and then supposedly got rough with her.

Evidence at the scene backs up at least some of her story. When the police arrived, there was a broken mirror, a noticeably damaged china cabinet and closet door.

According to Hardaway (Mario’s mom), this is the second time this week, her son acted violently toward her. He allegedly pushed her into a wall in their living room. Mario was arrested and charge with 2nd degree assault, though not for the offense that occurred earlier in the week. He didn’t, however, stay behind bars for long. He would end up being released on bond.

Dancing With The Stars Run-Down

Yesterday, the fist episode of the 11th installment of Dancing With the Stars aired. It was a treat as always. This year’s cast is varied and a lot of fun. You’ve got “The Hoff,” “The Situation,” Brandy, Florence Henderson and Bristol Palin, to name a few.

Bristol Palin had a special guest in the audience, her mom, the controversial Sarah Palin. Perhaps Bristol was a bit nervous because her mom was in the crowd because she struggled a bit through her her performance .In fact, her score placed her in the bottom half of the contestants. Other performances of note included The Situation, Brandy, Hosselhoff and Jennifer Grey.

The Situation didn’t do well at all. Supposedly, between all of his other television appearances, he couldn’t squeeze in enough time for practice. He and his partner, Karina Snirnoff, only had a little less then a week to practice. The dancing duo were given a score of 15/30

The Hoff struggled as well. The actor and his partner bombed to “Sex Bomb.” He was also given a score of 15/30. Brandy, the R&B singer did quite well. She and her partner, who danced the Viennese Waltz scored 23/30. If the audience comes through in terms of voting, she is expected to go far in the competition.

Jennifer Gray, who is paired with Derek Hough, had the best outing of the night. Her and Hough’s waltz received the highest score of the night, 24/30.

Dancing With The Stars: An Inside Peak

Dancing With The Stars has a lot of “characters” this season. Bristol Palin (Sarah Palin’s daughter), The Situation of “Jersey Shore” fame, Brandy a R&B singer, Audrina Patridge (The Hills), David Hasslhoff (The Hoff), Kurt Warner (former NFL quarterback) and Michael Bolton, are just a few of the celebs to appear on the show this installment of the series.

Fortunately, for you and me, it looks like some “insider” information has been leaked, namely what songs some of these couples will be dancing to. We’ll post a few of them below. If you want to watch the actual dances, you’ll have to tune it. BTW, these leaks are courtesy of TMZ.com…Enjoy!

Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas will dance to: “Mama Told Me Not To Come” –That’s a pretty telling tune LOL

David Hasselhoff will be dancing to “Sex Bomb”–That’s not surprising at all. He seems to still fancy himself a sex object.

The Situation will be dancing alongside Karina Smirnoff to the tune of “Break Your Heart”–That song seems to be more telling of Karina (she seems to be a bit of a heart breaker) than The Situation. Even still, I can’t wait to see it go down.

‘The Situation’ To Put On His Dancing Shoes

‘Dancing with the Stars’ looks like it’s going to be quite interesting this year. They’ve gathered a pretty eclectic group of participants.

Besides ‘The Situation’ of New Jersey Shore fame, Kurt Warner, Bristol Palin, Audrina Patridge and David Hasselhoff, amongst others, will fight it out to determine who’s the best ballroom dancer of them all.

It looks like one participant, The Situation, will be at a disadvantage. While all of the other participants will begin practicing on Monday, August 31st, The Situation won’t be able to start practicing until September 8th. This is because he has New Jersey Shore obligations.

We’re just making a guess here, but our feelings are this, The Situation will likely need all of the help that he can get. If he only gets half of the time as the other contestants, which some are suggesting that he will, The Situation will probably be in big trouble. That’s too bad for him, but likely very entertaining for the rest of us!
