Holly Valance fronts new alcohol campaign

Holly Valance has become the face of Fosters.
The 28-year-old Australian singer and actress, who is best known for her roles in Neighbours and Prison Break, said that she feels "great pride" at becoming the ambassador of such a well-known Aussie beer label.

Valance told the Daily Mail: "It is with great pride that I'm working with such an iconic Australian brand! And it helps that I'm a loyal beer drinking Aussie girl myself!"

Shortly after being revealed as the face of the company, Valance joked on her Twitter page: "The faucet in my ensuite is now Fosters Gold on tap."

In the new adverts, Valance can be seen painted gold and wearing a pair of hotpants, recreating the pose from James Bond's Goldfinger as she lies across a white bed.

Gayle Harrison, Foster's marketing manager, said: "Like Foster's, Holly is down to earth and easygoing but occasionally she wants to 'dress to impress', which makes her the perfect girl to launch new Foster's Gold."

Valance recently revealed that she doesn't feel pressure to be thin, saying: "I'm representing real people in stories. I'm not there representing a model, so I don't need to be a size zero. Look down the street, no-one is a size zero. I wouldn't call myself curvy. I call myself healthy."

The star is currently dating 37-year-old billionaire Nick Candy and has described him as "goofy".

Holly Valance kiss was strange

Shane Jacobson has revealed that his on-screen kiss with Holly Valance was "strange".

The Australian actor, who is best known for playing plumber Kenny in the film of the same name, said that he got on really well with co-star Valance during the filming of Surviving Georgia.

Jacobson told the AAP: "During shooting, my partner was nine months pregnant and about to give birth to what now is our daughter, so larking about kissing Holly Valance was quite strange.

"It's not exactly the kind of thing you find romantically motivating, it's more just the kind of thing you need to do.

"Kenny would certainly be proud. I thought the film would be a comedy when they told me I was Holly's love interest.

"She's a lovely, beautiful person and clearly deserves a much better canvas than me... but she's incredibly grounded and I'm proud to call her a friend."

Holly Valance rules out West End roles

Holly Valance has admitted that she is not confident enough to perform in London's West End.

The former Neighbours actress confessed that she would only consider less daunting locations if she were to launch a theatre career.

Valance told The Daily Telegraph: "I would never start on the West End. I think you need to earn your stripes and start small.

"I don't have the confidence to and I need to start small and work my way up like everyone else."

The 27-year-old also ruled out starring in a musical, joking: "You should dance, sing or act. Just don't do it at the same time!"

Valance recently confirmed that she was keen to concentrate on British projects because her Stateside career had stalled.
