Kirsten Dunst loves her “snaggle fangs” and is glad she didn’t listen to her mother and get them fixed.

The American star has never felt the need to fix her wonky teeth, even though her mom used to suggest it would be a good idea when she was younger. Kirsten never felt self-conscious about them, instead seeing her misshapen mouth as something to celebrate.

“I love my snaggle fangs. They give me character and character is sexy,” she told the September issue of UK magazine Elle. “People comment, but the only person who ever told me to fix them was my mom. Mothers are always like, ‘Wear lipstick, put on rouge!’ They can be sh**ty about that stuff because they love you. I just went my own way, like daughters do.”

Kirsten is promoting her new movie Melancholia, in which she plays a woman called Justine who is crippled by depression. She appears nude in the Lars von Trier-helmed picture and knows people will be surprised when they see her body. The 29-year-old didn’t work out ahead of shooting the scenes as she’s never had a problem with how she looks without clothes.

“I trusted everyone and the lighting was beautiful. I didn’t work out beforehand, it was all very natural. I don’t have any real body issues. I never really overeat, I shed weight in the summer, put it on in the winter and yes, I do have boobs. People don’t realise because I cover up a lot, but they are there. It seems shedding clothes is no big deal for 'Spiderman' star Kirsten Dunst as she said she has forgotten doing a topless scene against Ryan Gosling for her new film.

Dunst has done a steamy topless shower scene with Gosling in the upcoming crime drama 'All Good Things.'

"I forgot I even did it. I don't even think about it...We really got to know each other through eight weeks of rehearsal, it was important we felt very comfortable with each other," the New York Post quoted her as telling Fox News.com.

The film takes on one of the most notorious missing persons' cases in New York history, that of real estate mogul Robert Durst who was suspected but never tried for killing his wife Kathie in the 1980s.

Dunst plays the role of Kathie in the upcoming flick, and hopes the film may lead to more clues being uncovered to solve the real life murder mystery.

Looking to catch a few rays, Kirsten Dunst was spotted prancing around in a bikini at the Eden Roc Hotel pool.

The “Crazy/Beautiful” starlet looked lovely in a halter-style black two-piece swimsuit as she hopped in the water.

Later in the day, Kirsten made her way over to the Palais des Festivals for the Palme d’Or Closing Ceremony.

Dunst's 'Spider-Man' character to be killed?

Hollywood actress Kirsten Dunst's red-headed character Mary Jane from the "Spider-Man" franchise is reportedly going to be written off after the fourth instalment.

Insiders claim Dunst's character will be written off in the next movie and replaced by Anne Hathaway as Spider-Man's new love interest, reports hollywood.com. "The plan is for her character to be written out, probably by dying. Anne will take over as Peter Parker's new love interest for this project and for 'Spider-Man 5' and 6 which are being written now," said a source.
