The Neighbours and So You Think You Can Dance star, who is currently pregnant with her first child, said that she hopes to be half the mum her mother and grandmother have been.
Bassingthwaighte told Woman's Day magazine: "When I become a mum I want to have the same approach as my own parents, who are loving, supportive and always encouraging creativity.
"My family means the world to me. It’s nice to grow up in such a loving and supportive place, where you feel like anything is possible. We are always there for each other, no matter what."
