Udaan, Dabangg lead Filmfare Awards 2011

MUMBAI: Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol won the Best Actor and Actress award respectively for My Name Is Khan at the 56th Filmfare Awards, which was ruled by a small budget movie Udaan that grabbed seven prizes including Best Supporting Actor (Male), Best Film (Critics), Best Story, Cinematography, Screenplay, Best Background Music and Best Sound Design Award.

Special Awards:
Ninety-year-old legendary singer Manna De received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Amitabh Bachchan received an award for completing 40 years in the film industry. Madhuri Dixit recived the award for completing 25 years in the film industry.

The Global Indian Music Awards To Be Aired On Colors On The 5th Of December 2010

The Global Indian Music Awards, which are one of its kind is soon to be telecast on the channel Colors.

According to reports, this has been a great achievement for music buffs all over the world as this is one platform where the basic format is to appreciate all kinds of music be it film music or any other music.

The event organized by the GIMA, in association with almost all music giants in the industry was extremely well attended when it was held in Mumbai recently.

The other music industry partners who got in to bring about this event are IMI, Sa Re Ga Ma,T- Series, YRF Music, South India Music Companies association, Eros International. TIPS, EMI, Sony Music, Venus, Universal Music Corporation, Aditya Music etc.

The event saw some stalwarts of the music industry like Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle, Music maestro A.R Rahman, who all graced the occasion which was one of the most coveted events in the field of recognizing talent in the music industry.
