Bipasha's film with Billy Zane doesn't take off

Why wasn’t Bipasha Basu available for the shoot? Did she act unprofessionally? Why was the scheduled shoot called off? Is she not keen to work with Billy Zane in the movie ‘Chimera’? The answers to these questions are not clear.

However, the fact that she wasn’t there on the first day of the movie’s shoot is true. Bipasha was supposed to report for filming on the 23rd July in Kodaikanal but there was no sign of her, neither was there any trace of Titanic actor Billy Zane. As a result, the shoot got cancelled for an indefinite period.

According to reports, it was because of Bipasha that Billy was asked to delay his trip and hence he didn’t come to India for the shoot. It’s been rumoured that the sexy actress had certain unresolved issues with the film; now we have no idea whether she will act in the film or not.

‘Chimera’ will be directed by Daniel Silverman from Hollywood and arthouse director Tapan Saha. The film has been in the making for a long time but looking at recent happenings, it appears that the movie is at a standstill.

This is not the first time that Bipasha has had problems with an international film; a few years ago her Ben Kingsley starrer was also put on the backburner for reasons unknown.

Such incidences are common when Bollywood wants to join hands with Hollywood; something or the other seems to go wrong. Monica Bellucci was slated to star opposite Sanjay Suri in a biopic on Sonia Gandhi whilst Aishwarya Rai has been on the wish-list of the handsome Will Smith forever. However, the gorgeous actress doesn’t seem to have time to work with the talented Hollywood star. Even Deepa Mehta wanted to sign John Abraham and Rachel Weisz together for her ambitious project ‘Luna’ but is concentrating on other projects for now.

Nevertheless, there is an international collaboration for us to look forward to - Mallika Sherawat’s film Hisss is complete without any hitches and is into post-production.
