I suffered from acne

Katy Perry has admitted that she had acne during her teenage years.

The 'I Kissed A Girl' hitmaker, who recently revealed that she is on a diet ahead of her wedding to Russell Brand, says that she often became depressed about her temporary skin condition.

She is quoted by Entertainment Wise as saying: "I just wanted to hide."

The 25-year-old singer added: "It was an amazing blessing to have clear skin."

Perry has now followed in the footsteps of Lindsay Lohan and Jessica Simpson as the face of skincare products.
