Katy Perry gets 17 stitches after fall

Katy Perry recently had to have 17 stitches after a fall.

The 'I Kissed A Girl' singer, who is engaged to comedian and actor Russell Brand, begged her fans not to "make fun" of her dancing after she injured herself falling over at a MuchMusic Video Awards afterparty in Canada on Sunday night.

Perry wrote on her Twitter page: "17 stitches later... Don't make fun of my dance moves tomorrow. That's what got me here in the 1st place! Thanks for the souvenir Canada!"

The musician was later seen wearing a bandage during a Toronto performance and wrote: "Thinking about getting a candy cane walker made." She also told her fans that she was "expecting" them to dance so that she didn't have to.
