50 Cent: 'Jackson duet is 2010's Thriller'

50 Cent has described his forthcoming duet with the late Michael Jackson as the "2010 version of 'Thriller'".

The rapper has recorded vocals for the track - titled 'Monster' - for the upcoming posthumous album from the King of Pop.

According to MTV, 50 Cent - real name Curtis Jackson - was "nervous" about working with the late star.

He said: "I don't usually get nervous, because I really don't care about a lot of the artists but Mike is special. He's different.

"I don't know how to explain it. When I sat down and listened to the actual song, I was excited. I said, 'This is the 2010 version of 'Thriller''."

He added that he was saddened when Jackson passed away, especially as they were not able to complete the recording together.

"I missed an opportunity to be on a record not just with a great artist, but a legend," he said. "So I wanted more, and I made adjustments to my cadence so I don't sound like I sound on music that people have previously heard from me, because I'm adjusting to the production."

The song will be included on Michael, scheduled for release on December 13.

Chelsea Handler and 50 Cent…. A Couple? Wow!

Talk about an odd couple! Chelsea Handler, the late night hostess and 50 Cent the rapper/actor are supposedly hooking up, though neither are saying too much.

The “interesting” duo were spotted together at a bar in New Orleans where 50 sang a little ditty, perhaps in honor of Chelsea.

When asked by the paps (TMZ) directly about what’s up with the funny woman, the buff rapper surprisingly didn’t have much to say. He just smiled. I’m surprised since talking (rapping) is Fifty’s occupation. No word yet from Chelsea.

My take on the subject is this. Chelsea, you can do so much better then 50 Cent. Sure, he has a nice body and is moderately attractive but everything else seems a bit lacking. He also doesn’t seem to be the smartest guy around, but hey, to each it’s own.

Chelsea you are so funny and successful, don’t waste your time with Fifty! Find someone who has it together and who isn’t all about the drama. Going from the head honcho at E! to Fifty Cent, seems to me to be a bit of a downgrade!!

I'm getting married

50 Cent has announced that he is getting married.

The rapper-turned-actor revealed on Twitter that he proposed to his girlfriend, who is rumoured to be R&B star Ciara, and is planning on getting married in the near future.

The 35-year-old wrote: "Good morning I was so high after the show last night. I got engaged. I love me so, sept 6 I'm getting married."

Last week, 50 Cent insisted that he was giving up Twitter to concentrate on completing his new album.

50 Cent 'banned from Twitterpic'

Rapper 50 Cent was banned from using Twitterpic this week, after posting a series of sexually explicit images and tweets.

The Sun reports that the 35-year-old went on a "bizarre Twitter blitz" which resulted in his account being blocked.

At one point, the rapper posted a video of a blonde woman simulating a sex act with a sex toy with the caption: "Now see why I be mad bitches be faking Ima find girl in this clip and Ima marry this bitch and by happy like swiss (sic)."

Another tweet said: "What the f**k is every body laughin at This s**t aint funny I don't think I can stop doing this s**t feel like a crack head (sic)."

Later, fans of the Before I Self Destruct artist suggested that the account had been hacked. However, 50 Cent later admitted that his account access had been restricted by the site. He said: "Twitpic just suspended my account damn. They got 30mns to get it back or ima go haywire..

The rapper has since been reinstated on the site.

50 Cent 'loses 54lbs for film role'

50 Cent lost 54lbs in only nine weeks to prepare for his role in the upcoming film Things Fall Apart.

The rapper will portray a football player who is undergoing treatment for cancer, reports the Daily Mail.

He dropped the weight by following a liquid diet and running on a treadmill for three hours a day, shrinking from 214 pounds to 160 in the two-month period.

"I was starving," he said.

50 Cent has since completed filming and gone back to his normal diet while touring.

He added: "I've been eating. I'll be back in shape in no time!"
