Amanda Holden announces pregnancy

Amanda Holden has announced that she is six months pregnant.

The Britain's Got Talent judge confirmed the news on Twitter, saying that she is expecting a baby boy with husband Chris Hughes.

She wrote: "Just to let you know. I am 6 months pregnant with a baby boy!! Have had to keep it quiet until now! I'm still doing BGT and Shrek The Musical!!!"

Speaking of the news, her former Britain's Got Talent co-star Piers Morgan said: "OK - Amanda Holden's pregnant. She's 6 months pregnant too - how the hell did someone so indiscreet keep that a secret so long? Very excited for her and Chris."

The couple already have one child together, 4-year-old Lexi.

Cheryl Cole is single

Amanda Holden has reportedly said that Cheryl Cole and Derek Hough have never been an item.

The Britain's Got Talent judge said that Hough is the perfect "companion" for Cole but nothing more.

She told the News of the World: "I knew all along that Cheryl and Derek were just friends, not lovers.

"I saw them together and he is very gentlemanly. He is the perfect escort and companion for her but that is it."

Holden added that Cole is independent and doesn't need to be in a relationship.

"I absolutely think that people should stop assuming that Cheryl needs a man to get on with her life," she said.

"She is a strong and feisty girl and she fine on her own."

Amanda Holden reckons Simon Cowell is as much-loved as the Pope.

The actress is amazed at how popular her fellow Britain's Got Talent judge is with the public.

'I mean, he's like the Pope when he walks into the audience,' Amanda, 39, tells Now.

'Everyone kisses him.'

But Amanda insists Simon, 50, hasn't let fame go to his head.

'He cannot stand rudeness, he cannot stand people with terrible egos, he cannot stand spoilt people in this business - and it's really refreshing,' she says.

'He really is just one of the most genuine, down-to-earth people that I've ever met.

'He's obviously the biggest star I know - and I've met people with a lot less who've got much bigger egos in comparison to him.

The Britain's Got Talent judge insisted: "My husband is so obsessed with my bottom he had a plaster cast made of it- it was before I had a baby so I was kind of proud of it then.

"I had this big tall man come and he even had a spatula to get definition! It looks like a piece of art because they’ve sprayed it silver."


She added: "It’s in our bedroom away from prying eyes. If only it still looked like that… It’s a good inspiration for me to start running again."

Responding to accusations of lip enhancement surgery and botox, Amanda said: "It’s so annoying. I swore I would never get my lips done; it’s the first thing that everyone notices. And look! No Botox, nothing!

"I said I wasn’t going to get Botox done and I haven’t. I haven’t had it for 9 months. Basically I was so fed up of answering questions about it; I thought I’m not having it any more."

Amanda also revealed a secret about fellow BGT judge Simon Cowell.

She told heat: "Simon has monogrammed napkins in LA so you can wipe your hands on them. I always say I’m going to put them on eBay. And I know it’s been said but he has black toilet paper too, which means you can’t see when you’re finished! He’ll hate me saying that, he always says I talk about my bowels too much! "

Having asked Piers Morgan's finace Celia for a secret about him, Amanda revealed: "Piers’ secret is ‘he refuses to wear boxer shorts that haven’t been ironed’. Brilliant! "

Holden: 'Reid, Price married too soon'

Amanda Holden has criticised Alex Reid and Katie Price for getting married so quickly.

Price and Reid wed in Las Vegas in February following the model's split from Peter Andre a year ago.

However, The Sun reports that Holden believes the pair should have waited before tying the knot.

"I think Katie's rushed into her second marriage," she said. "After a long-term relationship you need to be on your own to get to know yourself again."

The Britain's Got Talent judge also claimed that Reid will not be able to handle having Price as his wife.

"Alex is sweet but he's out of his depth," she said. "Katie needs a man who can handle her feisty nature."
