Drew Barrymore most overpaid actor

Drew Barrymore has been named the most overpaid actor in Hollywood by Forbes magazine.
Barrymore tops Forbes 2011 list of Hollywood's Most Overpaid Actors list with a return average of 40 percent for every dollar movie studios spend on her.


The 36-year-old's films have failed to rake in moolah at the box office in the past five years. "Everybody's Fine" earned only $16 million globally and "Lucky You" brought in only $8 million.

The second position went to Eddie Murphy. He returns $2.70 for every dollar spent on him. Will Farrell is at the third position with a return average of $3.50, reports aceshowbiz.com.

Reese Witherspoon and Denzel Washington wrapped up the top five with return averages of $3.55 and $4.25 repectively.

Drew Barrymore's Neiman Marcus Fall Campaign

Utilizing her charming beauty to help peddle products, Neiman Marcus called upon Drew Barrymore to front their fall advertising campaign.The "He's Just Not That Into You" actress swapped in and out of a range of the department store's high-end offerings as she posed for photographer Norman Jean Roy.


Talking about the campaign, Eddie Nunns, vice president of Neiman Marcus brand creative, told WWD, “The shoot tells the story of a star’s transformation and Ms. Barrymore had a strong hand in the execution, even down to having a point of view on hair styling."

Drew Barrymore – ABC's Charlie's Angels reboot

Entertainment Weekly confirms that Siega has completed the deal to direct the pilot, but has not included information on whether he will direct subsequent episodes of the show. Charlie's Angels will bring back Drew Barrymore and Nancy Juvonen as executive producers, as they were on both the 2000 and 2003 movie versions.


From Sony Pictures TV and Drew Barrymore's Flower Films, the new ABC pilot reboot of the classic 1976 'Jiggle TV' series "Charlie's Angels", created by Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts, has now cast their 3 'sxy sleuth' leads : Annie Ilonzeh ("General Hospital"); Minka Kelly ("Friday Night Lights"); Rachael Taylor ("Transformers").

ABC's Charlie's Angels reboot: Unlike the original 1970s series, where the team of private investigators were disgruntled graduates of the police academy, the update currently has the crime-fighters as a trio of not-so-angelic criminals. in the pilot, Charlie brings them together and offers an opportunity to redeem themselves — by working for him, of course.'

Script is written by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar ("Smallville"), who also executive produce along with Nancy Juvonen and original "Charlie's Angels" TV producer Leonard Goldberg. the pilot will be directed by Marcos Siega ("The Vampire Diaries").

The premise of the show will remain the same as the original series, with three women who work as private investigators for a mysterious, unseen man named 'Charlie Townsend' (Robert Wagner), who only communicates with them through a speaker box.

Justin Long upset at nude scene being deleted

Actor Justin Long was devastated when his nude scene in the Going the Distance movie were deleted.

"I worked out for months getting ready for that one nude scene. I wanted to make sure I didn't embarrass Drew! I put a massive effort into getting buff - and now the scene ends up on the cutting room floor," femalefirst.co.uk quoted him as saying.

Despite being upset about the scene getting chopped, Justin claims he adored working with co-star Drew Barrymore.

"She's everything. She's beautiful and insanely funny and working with her I got to see a side of her that I hadn't seen before," he said.

"I hadn't known her in a professional capacity before and the way she treats people on set just made her so much more beautiful."

I want a calming romance

Drew Barrymore has confessed that she now craves "easy" and "calming" relationships.

The 35-year-old actress, who is rumoured to be dating Going The Distance co-star Justin Long, told Bang Showbiz that she no longer desires romances that require a lot of effort.

"When you're young you just want to be in love," she explained. "I call it crazy love, because you just want to have fun and you're not thinking about the future or kids. You just want to have a good time with that person.

"Then, as you get older, even children aside, you just think, 'God, I actually like when it's easy, and I want these attributes from this person. I need these kinds of systems in place to feel calm'."

The Whip It director also revealed that she can't stand partners that don't live up to their promises.

"[I go for] someone who, when they say they are going to do something, does it. I really, really am attracted to any person, personally or professionally, who keeps their word."

Last month, Barrymore claimed to have lost count of the number of times she has been hurt by men.

My life is a disaster

Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore says that despite her good organisational skills behind the camera, her real life is a disaster.

"My real life is a disaster, it's absolutely nuts. I'm just a mess. I'm never organised, I lose everything," contactmusic.com quoted her as saying.

Barrymore directed the 2009 film Whip It, starring Ellen Page, but admits she's on a look out for another script.

"As a director, I'm really trying hard to find something I fall in love with again because it's a really long, intense job that you work on every day for the next three years.

Barrymore became more beautiful

Justin Long has admitted that he got to know a different side of his girlfriend Drew Barrymore on the set of Going The Distance.

The actor, who has been dating the actress off-and-on for several years, insisted that Barrymore appeared "more beautfiul" to him when he saw her professionalism and kindness at work.

Speaking to Us Weekly, the 32-year-old said: "She's so funny, insanely funny. But I also got to see a side of her during this movie, which I hadn't seen, because I'd never known her in a professional capacity.

"I got to see how she treated the people that she's working with and it made her so much more beautiful. She's lovely to everyone - to PAs, studio people, no matter where you are in the hierarchy. It's rare."

Long recently revealed that he and Barrymore have battled many obstacles to keep their romance alive.

Drew Barrymore loves strip clubs

Hollywood beauty Drew Barrymore says that deep inside she is a "dude" and believes that is the reason why she likes hanging out in strip clubs. The Charlie's Angels star said that she feels like a 13-year-old boy and enjoys hanging out with men, reported Sun online.

"In a lot of ways I feel like I have a little bit of dude inside me, except mine happens to be a 13-year-old boy, not a fully-fledged man. I like a good strip club as much as the next guy. I actually like it," said the 35-year-old actress.

The actress who shot to fame at the age of 3, with the cult hit ET, insisted that she never worried about ageing and wouldn't rule out plastic surgery.

"I don't want to be vain or fearful. And I don't think I'll do anything, but if I want to do something, I will.

From my perspective, there's no reason to be afraid of ageing, because if you age, you're lucky! The alternative is death," said the actress.

Barrymore who is reportedly dating actor Justin Long, said that she hates being told to settle down.

"If you're 35 and single and it's a choice, it feels fine. So I didn't settle with the wrong person yet. Big deal," said the actress.

I am ready to be reborn'

Drew Barrymore has said that she is ready to take a break from her hectic lifestyle.

The actress admitted that she has been "aggressive" about pursuing opportunities and was left feeling exhausted and in need of relaxation.

"For three years straight, I've been burning the candle at both ends, and as of last December, I just didn't have anything left," she told Elle.

"I've been so aggressive about living life to the fullest and being plugged into everything, but now I've ripped the plug out of the wall and put it on the floor for a while."

She added that disconnecting from her responsibilities has given her time to reflect on spiritual matters.

"I'm thinking about the same things as when I was 15, about spirituality and who I am, who I want to be. It's cocoon, pupa, larva, and f**k, I'm reborn!"

Barrymore can next be seen in Going The Distance, which opens in US cinemas on August 27.

Fashion faux pas were great

Drew Barrymore has said that she now thinks the fashion mistakes she made as a child actress were "brilliant".

Barrymore, who appeared in Steven Speilberg's E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial in 1982, when she was 7, has insisted that although her fashion decisions at the time were odd, she doesn't regret them.

Speaking to InStyle, the 35-year-old said: "[My first fashion faux pas was] anything I wore on the red carpet in the E.T. era. What was I thinking? Velour and taffeta, together? Oh, no, no, no. Now I think it's brilliant."

Recalling the first record she ever bought, she said: "The one I really remember was the Go-Go's, Beauty And The Beat. That was, like, the first freak-out I had, where it changed my life. That was girl power."

Barrymore also said that she started paying rent when she was 14 and that her heart was first broken by her first boyfriend Jamie Walters.

Stars attend GLAAD Media Awards

Drew Barrymore, Adam Lambert and the cast of Glee attended this year's GLAAD Media Awards.

The 21st annual GLAAD Media Awards, which recognises and honours the fair and accurate representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, took place in Los Angeles last night.

According to Radar Online, Barrymore received the 'Vanguard Award' for her work in furthering equality for all people. Most recently, she played the lesbian daughter of Robert De Niro's character in the 2009 film Everybody's Fine.

Actress-comedienne Wanda Sykes was also honoured with the 'Stephen F Kolzak Award' for her work on behalf of the LGBT community while Adam Lambert performed at the event.

I’m not sober !!

The ‘Charlie''s Angels’ star claimed to have found "balance" in her life, and thus she doesn''t have to cut out all the things she used to be addicted to.

"I''m not (sober) and I don''t claim to be - quite the opposite. I''ve tried to find the balance. I hope it''s balanced,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying in a new Parade magazine interview.

The actress has always been open about her addictive past—she had her first sip of alcohol when she was nine, began smoking marijuana at the age of 10, and first took cocaine at 12.

Her mother reportedly even staged an intervention when Barrymore was a teenager, and checked her into the ASAP Family Treatment Center rehab hospital.

The actress quit the facility after 12 days.

Drew Barrymore to take part in a green race

Drew Barrymore, who appeared in the film "Music and Lyrics" with Hugh Grant, isn't satisfied with just being a talented actress. The beautiful movie star is also making an impression with her commitment to environmental issues.

Currently appearing in "He's just not that into you" she didn't hesitate in accepting the challenge to take part in an electric car race. The race will be arranged for the new programme of the celebrity TV show host, Jay Leno, in the United States. A number of other celebrities will also be taking part in the event. However, Miss Barrymore will have the honour of being the first behind the wheel and to take to the track, which isn't very far from the studios of the show. We wish her very good luck!
