Hema Malini's daughter to play Juliet

Esha Deol's younger sister Ahana is to take on the role of Juliet in an adaptation of the Shakespeare tragedy Romeo and Juliet.

The film will be produced by the older Deol sister, whose last film Tell Me Oh Khuda is still awaiting distribution.

In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, a source said: "Esha started taking a keen interest in filmmaking during the shoot of Tell Me Oh Khuda.

"Even after the shoots, she would be quite clued in to the post-production, going to the edits and learning the nuances."

The Deols' mother is Bollywood legend Hema Malini, who will reportedly be on set to give her offspring a helping hand with production and acting.

Esha made her return to acting last year with the action film after a string of commercial failures.

She featured in the film with her father Dharmendra.

Esha Deol and Rahul Gandhi most eligible bachelors

Congress General Secretary and youth icon Rahul Gandhi and Bollywood actress Esha Deol were voted as the most eligible bachelors by the people of Mumbai in a recent poll.

The poll, conducted by matrimonial website, gave Rahul 34.69 percent votes, followed by Olympic bronze-medallist boxer Vijender Singh who got 18.36 percent votes.

Industrialist Ness Wadia bagged 16.32 percent votes, while actors Rahul Khanna got 12.24, Kunal Kapoor 10.23 and Rahul Bose 8.16 percent of the votes.

Among females, Esha Deol topped the list with 40.81 percent votes, followed by Sushmita Sen with 24.48 percent, Anushka Sharma with 12.24 percent, Sonam Kapoor and Mallika Sherawat with 8.16 percent votes each and badminton player Saina Nehwal with 6.15 percent votes.

Will Ahana Deol be able to do what Esha couldn't?

It has finally happened! Deol family's youngest daughter Ahana Deol is finally set to make her Bollywood debut. As per the reports, Dharmendra and Hema Malin's youngest daughter Ahana is going to follow the path set by her elder sister Esha Deol.

Ahana, who is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer, is reportedly reading a script of filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane. Ahana is said to be very close to Motwane and his wife.

Earlier in 2007, there was a report that Ahana will be directing a film but it never happened. She was also offered to act in a film by Dev Anand. Apart from this, she was also approached by other filmmakers to act in their films but Ahana rejected them and everyone considered her to be a shy girl for Bollywood.

Now, after so many years, there are again talks of the lady entering Bollywood and this time, things are going in the right direction from the beginning as she is seriously giving a thought on this. On choosing Ahana, Motwane says that she has an interesting face.

Esha could not do much well in the industry, so the pressure on Ahana will be much more considering her family records. Starting from her parents to step brothers Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol to cousin Abhay Deol, all of them have made their niche in the industry. Now, Ahana will have to prove herself as an actress like her mom.

The film is likely to be produced by Anurag Kashyap and it will be possibly a multi-starrer. All the best to Ahana on her Bollywood journey, hope she does not disappoint her family and the filmmaker!
