Jane Fonda pens sex guide for over-70 couples

Veteran actress Jane Fonda has penned a book for the couples of her generation on how to keep the warmth of passion ticking in a relationship even when the old age snatches the enthusiasm away.

The 73-year-old Hollywood sex symbol has devoted some 50 pages of her new autobiography ‘Prime Time’ to explaining how to have good sex over the age of 70.

She has also claimed that she could even tell simply by looking at people if they are having ‘good sex’.

“I wasn’t trying to be shocking, but I go into details, and it seems to have shocked people. I made a list of things to cover. I’m still sexually active. There are certain things that change as you age, and I wanted to talk about that,” the Daily Mail quoted her as telling Time magazine, explaining her decision to talk about sex for the over-70s, that is usually a taboo subject.

The two-time Oscar-winner, who is currently in a relationship with 69-year-old music producer Richard Perry, describes herself as a ‘late bloomer’ and insisted on talking openly about sex unlike others.

“I have never found a book that talks about everything from the psyche and spirit and wisdom to penile implants,” she said.

“So I decided that I’d write about as much of the research as I possibly could – everything I wanted to know as a woman who is 73 years old and still sexually active.

“I see people who aren’t traditionally beautiful, but if they’re having good sex, you can tell,” she added.

Jane Fonda admits recent plastic surgery

Jane Fonda has admitted that she recently underwent a plastic surgery procedure.

The Oscar winner told Entertainment Tonight that she wants to be honest about the surgery because she is currently writing about a book on ageing.

"I recently had plastic surgery. It was a hard decision to make, and I decided if I'm going to do it, I'm going to tell the truth," she said. "'I'm writing a book about ageing, so I can't write that book and not say I've had plastic surgery."

She continued: "And you know, I just decided it was for me... I don't want to have bags under my eyes that make me look tired, and so forth and so on."

Fonda also discussed her life-long passion for exercising and acknowledged that she plans to cut down on strenuous workouts as she gets older.

"I have, in my life, been obsessive about exercise, about most everything. But one of the good things that happens when you get older is everything comes into perspective. I don't want to get hurt," the star explained.

Sex is better at 71, says Jane Fonda

Fonda, who is married to record executive Richard Perry, 67, feels she is rebuilding her body from the inside out courtesy a recent series of surgeries and an artificial knee and titanium hip implant and it has given her a new lease of life, reports dailymail.co.uk.

"I owe 30 percent (of my good looks) to genes, 30 percent to good sex, 30 percent because of sports and healthy lifestyle and for the remaining 10 percent, I have to thank my plastic surgeon. I'm 71, but I'm happier, the sex is better and I understand life better. I don't want to be young again," he said.

Fonda reveals she still has a major goal left to achieve, as she is planning a mountain climb once she is fit again.

"I just had surgery on my back, I also have a new knee and a hip made of titanium. I'm slowly falling apart and feel like a walking spare parts depot. I had to have it all repaired because I want to climb the Himalayas. And at 8,000 feet, my body has to run smoothly," he said.
