Jennifer Aniston gets a star on Walk of Fame

LOS ANGELS: Actress Jennifer Aniston was honoured with a star on Hollywoods Walk of Fame on Wednesday, the first of the Friends actors to receive the emblem of celebrity that she described as surreal.
I was born in Sherman Oaks, California. I am a California girl through and through, and Im sure this has always just sort of been in the back of my mind, said Aniston at the ceremony.

It probably wasnt even a dream. It was one of my wildest dreams. I dont think that I ever even thought that this would be here, this day. So I am utterly humbled and grateful, the Friends actress told her fans and friends.

Aniston was joined by her father John Aniston and Wanderlust co-stars including boyfriend Justin Theroux as she received her star.

Her Just Go With It co-star Adam Sandler was on hand to deliver some wisecracks to the crowd, referring to Anistons universally coveted hairstyle and her role in 1993 horror film Leprechaun.

She prayed for three things; to have everyone in the entire world be fascinated with her hair, to one day star in a movie about an evil leprechaun who kills people, and most importantly, receive a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame. Well, today, Jennifer, the trifecta is here, quipped Sandler.

Aniston (43) rose to fame in the role of Rachel Green in the hit 1990s sitcom Friends, for which she won a Golden Globe and Emmy award. Her friends co-stars Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer were not present at Wednesdays ceremony.

The actress private life has also been in the spotlight with numerous high-profile relationships over the past two decades, including her five-year marriage to actor Brad Pitt that at the time made the pair one of Hollywoods super couples.

After Friends ended in 2004, Aniston made a successful transition into films, with roles opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in the critically-acclaimed The Good Girl, Clive Owen in Derailed and numerous comedies including The Break-Up, The Switch and Horrible Bosses. (Reuters)

Jennifer Aniston reveals new tattoo honouring late dog

Jennifer Aniston has joined the ranks of the inked by getting a tattoo. The “Horrible Bosses” star strolled through New York City in sandals on Friday, revealing a tattoo on the inside of her right foot that has a special significance. The tattoo reads, “Norman,” in memory of her beloved Welsh corgi/terrier mix who passed away in May at the age of 15, a rep for the actress told People. As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Jennifer appeared emotional while speaking about her departed dog at a taping for “Inside the Actors Studio” in New York City on Thursday. When asked by host James Lipton to reveal her “favourite word”, Jennifer said, “Norman”, with a tear in her eye. The entire “Inside The Actors Studio” experience was humbling for the star, who told Access, “You’re talking with students and it’s just wonderful. “It was so refreshing and to have someone to reflecting back to you [about] your work and asking questions about where you came from and what sort of led you to be you who you are today as an actor,” she continued on Friday as she promoted her new film. “I loved it, I was very humbled.” daily times monitor

Jennifer Aniston wins 'Decade Of Hotness' award

Jennifer Aniston is to be presented with a 'Decade Of Hotness' award next month at Spike TV's fifth annual Guys Choice event.

The award, regarded as one of the night's biggest honours, has previously been won by the likes of Halle Berry, Charlize Theron and Cameron Diaz.

"Jennifer Aniston has the magic combination of Hall of Fame hotness and humour that makes every guy wish she lived next door," Spike TV representative Casey Patterson said. "Our audience has been asking for this for years. We're thrilled to be honouring Jennifer."

Aniston rose to fame in her role as Rachel Green on the longrunning sitcom Friends, since which she has carved out a successful career in Hollywood.

Among Aniston's most successful films are Bruce Almighty, Marley & Me and Just Go With It.
Other stars nominated at this year's awards include Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, Rose Huntington-Whiteley and Minka Kelly.

The 2011 Guys Choice will air June 10 at 9pm ET/PT on Spike TV.

Jennifer Aniston plans non-comedy movie projects

MEXICO CITY: Actress Jennifer Aniston says some non-comedy movie projects are in her future, including a film based on the true story of an all-female country-western band that formed at a Texas prison in the 1940s.

Aniston says the band was "sort of the Dixie Chicks of their time."
No production or release dates have been set for the project, tentatively titled "The Goree Girls."

After starring in a string of romantic comedies such as "Just Go With It," Aniston may be turning her sights to more serious fare. Another project, tentatively called "Counterclockwise," may focus on the studies of Ellen Langer, a renowned Harvard psychology professor.

Jennifer Aniston 'sees poor perfume sales'

Jennifer Aniston's signature fragrance has reportedly suffered from poor sales since its launch.

Now reports that the actress's lack of promotional work for The Debut has damaged the product's chances.

An insider said: "Jen chose her perfume. But other than launching it at Harrods in London, she's done no promotion.

"No-one knew where to find it and now everyone's lost interest."

No comment has been given by the scent's producers, but the source commented: "They're bound to be disappointed. They can't figure out why no-one wants to smell like Jen.

"Marketing shows most people believe Jen smells 'natural and clean', which is the opposite of why you'd buy a perfume, so maybe that's it."
