Together again to attend dinner for family friend

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver were both present at a special dinner thrown by a family friend on Thursday night in LA.

Schwarzenegger and his estranged wife appeared together in public for the first time since Shriver filed for divorce, but both arrived at Brentwood eatery Toscana and left the event separately.

When an X17 Online photographer encountered Schwarzenegger outside Toscana and expressed hopes that the Austrian actor and Shriver would reunite, the Terminator star simply replied: "Thank you."

A source close to Schwarzenegger recently claimed that he is attempting to organise a reunion with alleged mistress Mildred Baena and their 13-year-old love child.

He will also reportedly retain the Schwarzeneggers' family home in Brentwood after his divorce from Shriver is finalised.

Schwarzenegger will reportedly begin filming director Kim-ji-Woon's Last Stand in September.

Maria Shriver files to divorce Arnold

LOS ANGELES: Maria Shriver, the wife of actor and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, has filed for divorce, according to documents filed Friday in Superior Court in Los Angeles.

Shriver, 55, cited "irreconcilable differences" with her husband, whom she met in 1977 and married in 1986.

Schwarzenegger, 63, admitted in May that he had fathered a child with the family's long-time housekeeper, Mildred Baena, and announced the couple's separation.

The niece of former US president John F. Kennedy, Shriver has asked the court for joint custody of their two younger children -- Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13 -- and payment of her legal fees and alimony.

The couple has two other children: Katherine, 21, and Christina, 19.

"This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us," Schwarzenegger said in a May statement to the Los Angeles Times when he and Shriver announced their separation.

"After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion and prayer, we came to this decision together. At this time, we are living apart while we work on the future of our relationship," the statement said.

Austrian-born former bodybuilder Schwarzenegger, a liberal Republican, left office in January, and has started to return to show business, with plans for a "Governator" comic book and animated TV show.

While Arnie seems set to return to the big screen, he has vowed to pursue his political passions -- notably on the environment -- fueling rumors than he could even run to be the next president of the European Union.

Their marriage has come under the spotlight over the years, notably amid reports of his history of groping women during campaigning for the 2003 recall election which Schwarzenegger won, the LA Times reported.

Shriver, a former TV journalist, defended him at the time, and has stood by his side during his seven years at the helm of the Golden State, a term that ended when Jerry Brown succeeded him four months ago.

The political differences were evident during the 2008 presidential race, when Shriver backed Barack Obama and Schwarzenegger supported Republican John McCain.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's mistress: 'He's a good man'

Mildred Baena has revealed that she told Arnold Schwarzenegger's wife Maria Shriver about their affair.
The housekeeper, who has a 13-year-old son by the actor, explained that Shriver asked if Schwarzenegger had fathered her child after noticing the increasing similarity.

Baena, who was a trusted member of the family's domestic staff, told Hello: "[Maria] was so strong. She cried with me and told me to get off my knees. We held each other and I told her it wasn't Arnie's fault. It takes two."

Baena, who was photographed for the magazine with her son for the first time, said that Shriver has been suspicious for a while.

She explained: "She would say things like, 'I'm here if you need to talk.' I sensed something was up. I have so much love and respect for Maria."

Baena, who had worked with the family for years, said that her son had been told of his parentage a year ago.

She also insisted that Schwarzenegger is a "good man" and hopes that the family will work out their issues.

She added: "He's a good man and I know he is suffering too. He loves Maria. I hope in time they work things out."

Schwarzenegger and Shriver announced their separation in May after 25 years of marriage.

They said in a statement: "We are continuing to parent our four children together. They are the light and the centre of both of our lives. We consider this a private matter and neither we nor any of our friends or family will have further comment. We ask for compassion and respect from the media and the public."

Arnold Schwarzenegger 'hires divorce lawyer'

Arnold Schwarzenegger has reportedly hired attorney Bob Kaufman to represent him.

According to TMZ, Kaufman will handle all legal matters during Schwarzenegger's upcoming divorce from estranged wife Maria Shriver.

Kaufman has already entered discussions with Shriver's lawyer Laura Wasser and is "moving forward" with negotiations surrounding the split, the website also reports.

Schwarzenegger and Shriver announced their separation earlier this month after 25 years of marriage following the revelation that the actor and former California governor had fathered a secret love child with a former housekeeper.

It was recently suggested that Shriver could receive a $254 million (£155m) settlement as part of her divorce from Schwarzenegger.

Schwarzenegger may also reportedly be sued by Rogelio Baena, the ex-husband of Mildred Baena, with whom he fathered the love child.

Arnold Schwarzenegger 'wants second chance'

Arnold Schwarzenegger has reportedly begged estranged wife Maria Shriver for "one last chance" to save their marriage.

The pair separated earlier this month after 25 years of marriage following the revelation that Schwarzenegger had fathered a secret love child with a former family housekeeper.

However, unauthorized Schwarzenegger biographer Ian Halperin claimed that the former California governor is desperate to reunite with his wife and avoid a divorce.

"He's actually shed tears. He knows he's done wrong, and he's begging on his knees for forgiveness and one last chance," Halperin told Extra "Arnold has been making calls to Maria repeatedly, asking her for one more chance."

He went on to say that Shriver has not been responsive to the pleas, adding: "Maria wants no part of it."

It was recently reported that Shriver plans to file for divorce from Schwarzenegger in the upcoming days.

Schwarzenegger has put his film career on hold following the scandal.

Arnie's divorce could cost him GBP 155m record payout!

It has emerged that if Arnold Schwarzenegger's estranged wife Maria Shriver goes ahead with divorcing him in light of the recent scandal, she could land 155million pounds as divorce payout, making it the biggest settlement in showbiz history.

The mum of four is tipped to file for divorce in days.

Hollywood action hero Schwarzenegger, 63, has a vast property portfolio including an entire shopping mall, plus shares in Coca-Cola and Starbucks - and an 8million pound LA home.

'The Terminator' star's wealth has been estimated at 310million pounds and Shriver , 55, could be entitled to half.

It would dwarf the 100million pounds basketball star Michael Jordan paid ex Juanita Vanoy in 2007 - the current celebrity record. And it is more than twice the 65million pounds Tiger Woods is said to have given Elin Nordegren in their split.

Maria has hired a private eye to probe Schwarzenegger's finances.

"She'll get every last penny she is entitled to," the Sun quoted a source as saying.

"Arnold is an extremely rich man - no one is quite sure how rich but Maria's team will find out. He seems to have invested wisely and could be worth 500million dollars," the source added.

The couple split after 25 years when Schwarzenegger admitted fathering a boy, now 13, with a housekeeper.

Schwarzenegger has another love child

Arnold Schwarzenegger seems to be bracing for more sex cheat claims as another woman has claimed she had his secret love child.

The actor has admitted his marriage collapsed because he had a baby with a housekeeper 14 years ago but hid the truth from his wife Maria Shriver.

And sources close to the action movie hero said the Shriver is horrified by the possibility of more women coming forward.

It has been reported that one woman has contacted a lawyer claiming Schwarzenegger is the father of her daughter and has asked for a DNA test to prove paternity.

She has claimed that she met the Terminator star at a club eight years ago and had a brief fling.

She has no evidence to prove the actor is the father.

"Arnie faces the possibility of more and more women claiming they had a relationship with him. It will be an increasingly tough time for both him and Maria,” the Mirror quoted a source as saying.

Schwarzenegger kids "banding together" for mother

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver's four children have reportedly "banded together" to support their mother in the wake of the former California's governor's announcement that he fathered a love child more than a decade ago.

Following Schwarzenegger's public admission of his infidelity earlier this week, an apparent family source told Us Weekly that 21-year-old Katherine, 19-year-old Christina, 17-year-old Patrick and 13-year-old Christopher are focused on helping Shriver through this troubling time.

"The kids are all banding together to support their mum right now and they're doing their best to stay out of the spotlight," the insider claimed.

Eldest daughter Katherine, who expressed family unity on her official Twitter page this week, is thought to be particularly concerned for her mother's state of mind.

The source went on to say that all four kids feel "really betrayed and embarrassed that [Schwarzenegger's affair is] out in the open", adding: "Not for their dad's sake but for Maria."

It was reported today that a close friend of Shriver has claimed that Schwarzenegger "completely betrayed" his wife by "concealing" a secret affair for more than ten years.

Schwarzenegger and Shriver announced their separation one week before the Austrian admitted to carrying on an extramarital relationship with a household employee believed to be Mildred Patricia Baena.

How Maria Shriver forced Arnie to confess about love child

It has emerged that Arnold Schwarzenegger was forced to admit about the love child after his estranged wife Maria Shriver confronted his mistress over suspicions that she was secretly raising his love child.

The mother of four, 55, is said to have asked her family's housekeeper, Mildred Baena, 50, if her actor hubby fathered her son.
During the dramatic showdown, Baena broke down and confessed, according to RadarOnline.com.

Schwarzenegger only came clean about sordid affair after Shriver told him she knew the truth about his 13-year secret, insiders said.
"Maria has suspected this for a long time and she asked the housekeeper," the Daily Mail quoted a source as saying.
"The housekeeper admitted it.
"Maria then went to Arnold and he confessed," the source added.

Schwarzenegger, Shriver part ways after 25 years

Actor and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife Maria Shriver have confirmed their split after 25 years of marriage.

Shriver, who tied the knot with Schwarzenegger in 1986, moved out of their Brentwood, California home a few weeks ago, reports the Los Angeles Times.

However, the two will take care of their four children together and are working "on the future" of their relationship, reports contactmusic.com.

"This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us. After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion and prayer, we came to this decision together. At this time, we are living apart while we work on the future of our relationship," they said in a joint statement.

"We are continuing to parent our four children together. They are the light and the center of both of our lives. We consider this a private matter and neither we nor any of our friends or family will have further comment. We ask for compassion and respect from the media and the public."
