Rosie Huntington-Whiteley on overcoming constant criticism

Karlie Kloss may have replaced Elle Macpherson as ‘The Body’ of the modelling world, but Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is not content to let the grass grow under her feet. She might not have appeared on the Victoria’s Secret runway as one of the lingerie giant’s ‘Angels’ last month, but she still knows a thing or two about lucrative curves. Huntington-Whiteley was photographed by Tom Munro for the cover of Bazaar ‘s January issue. But, she tells the magazine, her poll position in the fashion industry was not an easy accomplishment. When she moved to the US from Devon, she says she had to listen to constant criticism of her physique:

“All I kept hearing was ‘Honey, you gotta change this; your hair’s this; your legs are that; you’re not enough this; you’re not enough that; you’re too much this; why are you wearing that?’ And so it was a constant stream of judgement. “I have a different feeling when I come back to England; as soon as I touch down in Heathrow and drive into London and down to Devon, there’s a sense of home and belonging. I will never feel that in America, it doesn’t matter how long I live there – and I’ve come to terms with that. I really am so proud to be British.”

But the comfort of home won’t keep her in Devon for long.

“I knew I was going to leave Devon,” she says, “and whatever I did, it would be big.”

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has revealed that she is holding out to marry Prince Harry.The Transformers: Dark of the Moon star confessed that she harbours a crush on the younger royal in an interview on Live With Regis & Kelly.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley tops FHM 'Sexiest' poll

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has been named FHM's 'Sexiest Woman in the World'.


The Victoria's Secret model topped the annual poll, preventing Cheryl Cole from securing her third consecutive win.


Huntington-Whiteley will appear in Transformers: Dark of the Moon, replacing Megan Fox who falls two places to number four.


"Wow! Thanks for voting guys, I'm so flattered to be FHM's Sexiest Woman in the World," she said of her win. "This is a really exciting year for me and I hope you all enjoy Transformers 3."


X Factor judge Cole fell outside the top 10 to number 12, while both Katy Perry and Rihanna enjoyed high jumps to number two and three respectively.


Commenting on the results, FHM's Stuart Hood said: "Queen Cheryl is dead and succeeding her on the throne is a British sensation who is no stranger to stepping into the high heels of the world's most attractive women.


"In the last 12 months, actress and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has replaced Kelly Brook in Jason Statham's heart and replaced Megan Fox in Transformers, and now she's replaced Wor Chezza as the planet's most lusted after female."


Kate Middleton, the new Duchess of Cambridge, is the only royal to make the top 100, debuting at number 39. Doctor Who actress Karen Gillan is a new entry at 42.

Not afraid to flaunt her sexy physique, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley partook in a sexy new photo shoot for Thomas Wylde.

Wearing skimpy ensembles while tossing off her top for a few shots, the 23-year-old English model did her best to boost sales via the Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaign.

Meanwhile, Miss Huntington-Whiteley recently made headlines as the replacement for Megan Fox in "Transformers 3".

The movie's star, Shia LaBeouf, spoke about the change in leading ladies, saying, “I love Megan and I miss the girl. Sam and Mikaela [LaBeouf's and Fox's characters] became one character and here [with the casting of Rosie Huntington-Whitely]…You have discovery again from a new perspective.”
