'Sex and the City' house back in market for 9.65m dollars

The house that served as the original setting for Carrie Bradshaw's home in 'Sex and the City' is back on the market for 9.65 million dollars after it was recently sold for 9 million dollars.

The 4,100-square-foot, four-story West Village home at 64 Perry Street, which had been sold in November, was the backdrop in early episodes of the show.

It has four floors and six fireplaces.

Producers later switched to the home next-door at 66 Perry for Sarah Jessica Parker's character.

In the series, Bradshaw was said to live on the upper East Side.

But that is not true, and frustrated neighbours of 64 and 66 Perry are fed-up with the constant gawking from tourists.

Eden Cheng, 27, and Ethan Kho, 25, were among those checking out the scene Thursday, and the two agreed they wouldn't like having tourists on their doorstep.

"Your house is supposed to be a place for you to rest. Even if I was super-rich, I don't think I would pay for a house that people come to all the time," the New York Daily News quoted Kho as saying.

Listed with Sotheby's International Realty, the first showings of the five-bedroom house were this week.

Corcoran broker Robby Browne, who worked on the November sale, said that while he couldn't discuss details, the buyer did not intend to quickly flip the house.

Sex And The City bounces back

Most people have a love-hate relationship with the four candid and independent women of the television series “Sex And The City” (SATC). However, the high ratings of this quirky Home Box Office (HBO) venture have kick-started a chain of film and television adaptations of the original TV programme which aired from 1998 to 2004 .

Rumours of a prequel series of “SATC” had been making rounds for three years, with updates on the revamped version of the television show first reported in 2008. Finally in 2011, deadline.com confirms that “SATC” prequel, “The Carrie Diaries”, is indeed set to go into production as a TV series on channel CW.
According to deadline.com, “The Carrie Diaries” is a TV series project based on Sex And The City author Candace Bushnell’s recent book, The Carrie Diaries, about Carrie Bradshaw’s high school years.
Producers of “The Carrie Diaries” have asked former “SATC” show writer Amy Harris to join the team, and “Gossip Girl” executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage have been tapped to assist in the production of the new TV series.

Currently, neither Sarah Jessica Parker nor Darren Star — both of whom produced “Sex And The City” on HBO — are involved in the project. And while it has been reported that “Gossip Girl’s” Blake Lively and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s little sister Elizabeth will star in the series, this has not been confirmed reports dailymail.co.uk.

Considering the lukewarm success of the SATC films (released in 2008 and 2010), one should not keep unreasonably high hopes from this project, but for now the anticipation of yet another shot at “SATC” is enough to keep fans happy. Source

"Sex And The City 2" Promotional Princess

Taking care of some publicity duties, Kristin Davis was spotted arriving at the ABC Studios in New York City on (May 13).

The beautiful brunette has been full-steam-ahead on the promotional trail for her new movie “Sex and the City 2” which hits theaters later this month.

In a recent interview, Ms. Davis confessed that while she loves her career, she is sometimes regretful that she never had kids.

"I can't say a lot about the next movie but Charlotte has children and so she's part of that world and it's fascinating. I have friends with children and sometimes have moments where I wish I had that, and sometimes it's a good thing I get to go home. It's loud over there!"
