Actress Uma Thurman gives birth to a baby girl: manager

LOS ANGELES: Actress Uma Thurman, star of movies such as "Kill Bill" and "Pulp Fiction," has given birth to her third child, a girl, the actress' manager confirmed on Monday.

"Mom and baby are doing well!" Jason Weinberg, Thurman's manager, said in a statement. Weinberg did not reveal any other details, but celebrity news publication Us Weekly said the baby was born on Sunday.

The baby is Thurman's first child with partner financier Arpad Busson. Thurman has a 14-year-old daughter, Maya, and a 10-year-old son, Levon, with her ex-husband, actor Ethan Hawke.

Thurman, 42, and Busson, 49, have been dating on and off since 2007, including a brief engagement. The couple reunited earlier this year and Thurman announced she was expecting their child in February.

The actress most recently appeared on the hit musical television show, "Smash." (Reuters)

Uma Thurman 'wants Bollywood film role'

Uma Thurman has said that she would like to maintain her personal relationship with India by starring in a Bollywood film.

Speaking to Gulf News , the Kill Bill star explained that she had a deep connection to the country that stemmed beyond more than just her Indian name.

Thurman spent part of her childhood living in the Almora district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, and was named 'Uma' by her father, who is a Sanskrit scholar and a Tibetologist.

The actress said: "I have friends there and I feel very connected to it... the smell, the sights, the people. It's familiar.

"I didn't realise how close we were to India (in the UAE). Had I known earlier, I would have gone by. I go there often, my last visit was about two years ago."

When asked about the possibility of starring in a Bollywood movie, Thurman commented: "That will be the best. I am good friends with Mira Nair. In fact, I heard she's filming a movie in India that's coming up soon and I'm very upset I'm not in it. I'm going to have a word with her about that."

Nair directed Thurman in the HBO film Hysterical Blindness.

Thurman stars alongside Robert Pattinson in her next release Bel Ami, a period film based on the 19th century French novel of the same name by Guy de Maupassant.

Uma Thurman stalker jailed in New York

NEW YORK: A man serving probation on a two-year-old conviction for stalking actress Uma Thurman and harassing her family was jailed on Friday on new charges that he resumed stalking the actress, authorities said.

Jack Jordan, 39, was arrested in November at his home in Montgomery County, Maryland as he was researching the Oscar-nominated actress on Google, and he was transferred to New York on Thursday to face the fresh stalking charge.

Uma Thurman’s Stalker Finally Behind Bars

The cops were finally able to put Uma Thurman’s stalker in jail after they have arrested him while he was in the middle of googling the actress in the internet. The cops made a move after Thurman filed a complaint (again) that her convicted stalker Jack Jordan caller her office. The police picked up the suspect from his family’s home in the suburbs of North Protomac, Washington, D.C, on Nov. 23.

According to the spokeswoman of the police, they found Jordan in his room with Uma Thurman’s name already typed on the google search box. Jordan was already sentenced three years ago to stay away from the actress for five years after he was found guilty of nearly harassing Thurman in her New York home. He was given probation, however, and was able to avoid being thrown to jail after his family agreed to have him as an outpatient in a psychiatric treatment.

Unfortunately, Jordan does not seem to have any solid grasp of the word ‘chances’ because he dared to call Thurman’s office again and demanded to talk to her and demanded to know where she is. He is currently on jail until now, waiting for an extradition hearing scheduled on Dec. 21.

Uma Thurman's stalker arrested

A stalker of actress Uma Thurman has been arrested for violating a restraining order against him.

Jack Jordan was convicted in 2008 of fourth degree stalking and second degree aggravated harassment and was ordered to seek psychiatric care as part of his probation. But in October, he again made a series of calls to Thurman and finally he was arrested, reports contactmusic.com.

Thurman made a complaint against Jordan in October after he broke the rules of his probation order, which forbids him from contacting her.

After his arrest, Jordan was put under observation and will appear in court Dec 21.
