Gwyneth Paltrow becomes face of Coach

Gwyneth Paltrow has been announced as the new face of Coach.

The Country Strong actress will appear in international print advertisements for the handbag brand beginning this fall as part of its 70th anniversary celebration.

"I grew up in New York City and I've always thought of Coach as the quintessential New York brand," she said in a statement. "I'll never forget getting my first Coach bag."

Womens Wear Daily reports that the outdoor ads - shot by photographer Peter Lindberg in New York City - will appear in select markets in Europe and Asia.

Paltrow was recently rumoured to be considering launching her own food magazine. She recently released her first cookbook entitled My Father's Daughter.

She has also been considering signing a record deal following the positive response she received following her performances in both Country Strong and as substitute teacher Holly Holiday in several episodes of Glee.

Gwyneth Paltrow to make music album?


Gwyneth Paltrow has reportedly landed a 600,000-pound recording contract with Atlantic.

The actress caught the attention of the Warner Music-owned label after her starring role in new movie Country Strong and live performances at the Grammys and the Oscars, reports the Sun.

Gwyneth has already had chart success abroad. Two songs she performed from her 2000 film Duets went platinum in Australia.

But this would be the first time she has made an album.

Martin marriage is hard

Gwyneth Paltrow has admitted that her marriage to Chris Martin is not perfect.

The actress - who married the Coldplay frontman in December 2003 - told Good Housekeeping that the couple work hard to maintain good communication in order to overcome the difficulties in their relationship.

"Marriage is hard. Chris and I have had our ups and downs, big time," she explained.

"Marriage is way more complicated than just who gets to control the remote. But hopefully we keep heading in the same direction and getting through the obstacles."

Paltrow also revealed that she and Martin purposely avoid paparazzi by going out separately, adding: "If I'm looking grumpy in public or if Chris and I leave a restaurant separately, it's only because we don't want to encourage photographers."

The pair are parents to 6-year-old Apple and 4-year-old Moses.

Paltrow is luxury watch brand ambassador

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has been named as the new ambassador for luxury watchmaker Baume and Mercier.

Paltrow has been named as a "friend of the brand" by the Swiss company, which will model its new image on the exclusive Hamptons area of New York, reports contactmusic.com.

Although she will not appear in any promotional campaign for the brand, the 38-year-old beauty will be involved with "communication projects", including attending the upcoming Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) - the annual showcase for exclusive timepieces to be held later this month.

Paltrow's role comes after chief executive officer Alain Zimmerman announced the luxury watchmaker had "suffered in recent years from a lack of appeal and visibility" and decided to discontinue the entire collection aside from its bestseller, the Classima.

The company has re-launched the Linea and Capeland lines and will premiere the Hampton collection in October.

"Our positioning remains as a brand that offers high-quality products with a beautiful design," said Zimmerman.

Paltrow follows actresses Meg Ryan, Kim Basinger, Teri Hatcher and Evangeline Lilly as an ambassador for the company.

Gwyneth Paltrow 'thought she had cancer'


Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed that she recently thought she had cancer.

The actress said that her intensive training to learn how to play the guitar for new movie Country Strong led to several health complaints, which caused the star to fear the worst.

Paltrow told WENN: "My fingers wouldn't respond to the signals my brain was giving them. I thought, 'I must have all these atrophied muscles in my fingers!'

"I had bleeding fingers and cramps in my hands and shoulder problems. I was like, 'I think I have cancer!'"

However, the 38-year-old went on to say that she was embarrassed when she discovered the truth, adding: "I went to the doctor and I had just pulled a muscle in my arm. It was a disaster. What a nerd!"
Country Strong opens in the US on January 7 and in the UK on March 4.

Paltrow honoured with star at Walk of Fame

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has been honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The 38-year-old actress - who has two children, Apple and Moses, with husband Chris Martin - admitted she was struggling to keep her emotions in check.

"I'm proud my grandchildren can one day come and see my name on the sidewalk," contactmusic.com quoted her as saying.

"I think I am going to get in the car and burst into tears. It just means so much to me to see all the people that I really love, and who have been supportive of me forever.

I feel so honoured I can't believe it."

"This city is so much a part of my heart and soul. I don't think I would be here were it not for my family and friends," she said.

Gwyneth Paltrow to Guest in Hit Musicale Glee as Substitute Coach

As if nothing can stir up the excitement of Glee fans for the star-studded season two of the hit musical show, another news surfaces which adds another glittery star on the already star-studded guests of the Fox show.

Glee sources, especially Ryan Murphy, have already confirmed that actress Gwyneth Paltrow will appear as guest to some of the episodes of the hit musical.Paltrow will not only dance and sing just like other guest stars in the show. She will take over Matthew Morrison’s (Will Schuester) character position in the Glee club as a substitute coach when Schuester gets sick in the story.

Sources say that the members of the club will love her for her easy personality and Schuester will even develop feelings for her, causing some rifts to his other love interest Emma Pillsburry played by Jayma Mays.Glee executive producer and creator Ryan Murphy was said to have sketched this role specifically for Paltrow. The two have been close friends ever since they’ve worked together in Paltrow’s 2006 film “Running with Scissors”.

Glee’s premier is currently airing now at Fox. Other guest stars who will appear on the hit musical are Britney Spears and John Stamos.

Even reality show star Susan Boyle was rumored to appear on the show. Season 2 will feature some new members of the Glee Club who will be played by actor Chord Overstreet and singing sensation Charice.

Gwyneth Paltrow an alcoholic musician

Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow is all set to play an alcoholic musician in her new movie Country Strong. The 37-year-old actress who is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, will play Kelly Canter in the new film about a faded country singer, reported Daily Mail.

It's not the first time the Shakespeare In Love star has tried her hand at a music role - in 2000 she showed off her singing talents in Duets. However, Country Strong is Paltrow's first leading role since playing the daughter of a mathematician in the 2005 film Proof.

In her new film, which is set for release on January 7, Kelly Canter befriends up-and-coming singer songwriter Beau Williams, played by Garrett Hedlund, and the pair embark on a tour together, accompanied by Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester, whose character is also looking to break into the music industry.

Gwyneth Paltrow records country track

Gwenyth Paltrow has recorded a country track to tie-in with her upcoming film Country Strong.

Paltrow, who plays a washed-up star desperate to make a musical comeback in the movie, has recorded the title song for the soundtrack, due for release in October.

The track - also called 'Country Strong' - is already being played by country radio stations across the US.

The film also features country artist Tim McGraw and Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester.

Paltrow previously recorded a version of Smokey Robinson's 'Cruisin'' with Huey Lewis for 2000 movie Duets.

Country Strong opens in the US on December 22.

Gwyneth And Madonna's Falling Out

They’ve been dear friends for quite some time, but rumor has it Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow have called it quits on their friendship.

An insider told press, "They don't speak. I can't tell you exactly why they had the falling out, but Gwyneth can be jealous and competitive."

Though Madonna's rep denies the "breakup," an Us magazine source tells that things went downhill slowly for the duo after Madonna split from Guy Ritchie in 2008, leaving "Gwyneth and Madonna with less in common." (Paltrow's been wed to U.K.-born singer Chris Martin since 2003.)

Both Madonna and Paltrow have had falling outs with friends in the past. The “Material Girl” singer and Sandra Bernhard broke things off in 1991, while the “Shallow Hal” actress and Winona Ryder had a falling out in 1998.

I dated a drug user

Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed that she dated a drug addict when she was younger.

The Iron Man 2 actress, who is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, has insisted that being involved in a relationship with a drug user made her question her self-worth.

Speaking to The Sun, the 37-year-old said: "When I was much younger I was involved with somebody who was into drugs. It became that I was obsessed with 'Why isn't this person showing up?'"

Paltrow also admitted that she tried her best to help her former lover, adding: "Even though I was raised by people who really loved me and made me feel good about myself, I still got caught into the thing of, what's wrong with me? Why isn't this turning out the way it should?"

Gwyneth Paltrow raps on Fallon show

Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed that she was a part of an '80s rap duo with Jimmy Fallon before the pair became famous.

According to The Huffington Post, the actress, who has previously sung in movies including Duets and on Saturday Night Live as a host, showed off her rap skills on Friday night's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon while promoting Iron Man 2.

On the show, Fallon and Paltrow, who is close friends with hip-hop star Jay-Z and wife Beyoncé, took a look back at videos from their imaginary rap group Shazzazz.
