Justin Bieber’s perfume sells one every minute!

KARACHI: Justin Bieber’s latest perfume ‘Girlfriend’ has become one of the bestselling celebrity scents with a sale of one bottle every minute.

After an exclusive launch, The Perfume Shop recorded that it sold one bottle of ‘Girlfriend’ every minute in its debuting week.

Michelle D’Vaz, National Advertising and PR Manager at The Perfume Shop said, “With the remarkable success of JB’s debut scent Someday, we are thrilled to say all records have been broken with the launch of Girlfriend.”

The online traffic of the store has also increased dramatically after the launch of the perfume. The store recorded an increase in sales by 132 percent in comparison to the same period last year.

“The online traffic has been remarkable and with one bottle being sold every minute it is safe to say Bieber fever is still a phenomenon,” D’Vaz added. Credit:http://www.brecorder.com

Justin Bieber caught speeding 'like a maniac'

LOS ANGELES: Teen heartthrob singer Justin Bieber was pulled over and cited for speeding "like a maniac" to shake off paparazzi Friday near Los Angeles, police and a lawmaker who witnessed the incident said.

A California Highway Patrol (CHP) spokesman said officers saw two vehicles speeding on the 101 freeway northwest near Coldwater Canyon northwest of Los Angeles, where the Canadian crooner lives.

"Officers made an enforcement stop on one of the vehicles, took him off the freeway," CHP spokesman Vince Ramirez told, adding that the driver "was identified as Justin Bieber."

"He was issued a citation for speeding," he added, saying he had no further details.

The 18-year-old was driving his eye-catching mirror chrome Fisker Karma, according to the celebrity news website TMZ.

LA City Councilman Dennis Zine, who witnessed the incident, told TMZ that Bieber was driving at over 100 miles per hour (160 kph).

"Bieber was driving like a maniac. He was weaving in and out of traffic. There was hardly any space between cars as he weaved from lane to lane," he said.

Zine, who was an LAPD motor officer for 18 years, added: "If I was on patrol, I would have arrested him for reckless driving. I was going 60 and he drove by me like he was in a rocket ship. He was a maniac."

He added that paparazzi behaved irresponsibly, driving on the freeway shoulder. At least four lensmen swarmed around Bieber's car once it was pulled over, he added.

A spokesman for the Canadian singer declined to comment.

Last August, Bieber was involved in a minor car crash in his black Ferrari, in an underground parking lot, in which a Honda Civic "tapped" his car from behind. He was not cited over that incident. (AFP)

Bieber seeks Jackson-like fame, and no drugs

LOS ANGELES: Teen idol Justin Bieber turns 18 in March with a long and ambitious to-do list -- to still be around at 30, to be as famous as Michael Jackson, and to avoid singing about sex and drugs.

"Hopefully by the time I'm 30 people will remember me," the Canadian singer told V Magazine in an lengthy interview. "I don't want people to just think of me as a teen sensation."

But the "Baby" singer said he was determined to maintain the squeaky clean persona that has brought him millions of mostly young female fans, and their mothers.

"I'm never going to make myself so the kids and the parents don't respect me," he said. "I want to be able to do what Michael (Jackson) did -- he always sang clean lyrics...I don't want to start singing about things like sex, drugs, and swearing."

Bieber, who has been dating Disney Channel star Selena Gomez for several months, added that he still had some growing up to do.

"I'm into love, and maybe I'll get more into making love when I'm older. But I want to be someone who is respected by everybody," he told the U.S. fashion magazine.

Bieber released his first album at the age of 15, launching an international career and becoming the most searched person of 2011 on Internet search engine Bing.

But Bieber said he planned on staying around in the music industry for many more years to come.

"It's not a fluke that I am here. I am here for a reason, and I am here for a lifetime," he said. "I also want people to know that I write my stuff. No one writes my stuff for me." (Reuters)

Selena Gomez & Justin Bieber: Dinner Date In Beverly Hills

Stoking the fires of romance, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber embarked on a dinner date in Beverly Hills last night (September 15). The “Never Say Never” stud and his “Ramona & Beezus” babe tried their best to go unnoticed as they exited Mastros Steakhouse, but to no avail. And it was a busy evening for Selena, who also made a stop at Grauman’s Chinese Theater to lend some support to pal Taylor Lautner at the premiere of his film “Abduction.” Gomez looked absolutely fabulous in a short and flirty black dress with a pair of sexy black single-strap heels.

Justin Bieber in minor car crash

(AFP) - Teen pop sensation Justin Bieber was involved in a minor car crash in his Ferrari in Los Angeles on Tuesday, but no one was injured, police said.

The Canadian star was at the wheel of his black vehicle when it collided with a Honda in an underground parking structure, said Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) spokeswoman Rosario Herrera. “Justin Bieber was driving a Ferrari and the other car was a Honda... we have no injuries, no damages to either car,” she told AFP after the crash in the San Fernando Valley, just north of LA.

She gave no further details, but another LAPD spokeswoman said Bieber’s Ferrari was “tapped” from behind by a Honda Civic.

Hollywood’s richest teen

If you are not already jealous of Justin Bieber, because of his near porcelain skin and swishy hair then get ready for amazing news that your favourite hamster turned pop icon is the richest teen in Hollywood.
According to People Magazine’s Hollywood teen rich list, Bieber tops the list raking in $53 million last year alone.

Usually 18-year-old Miley Cyrus tops that list since her Hannah Montana fame, but since her “Salvia is Legal!” bong escapades, she dropped down to the #2 spot raking in only $48 million. Do you know how much legal mind altering drugs she can buy with that cash?

Justin reportedly made all his money from the success of his 3D concert movie, Never Say Never and the sales of his new perfume “Someday.” “Someday” had the greatest opening week sales of any celeb fragrance, selling $3 million in retail sales in less than 3 weeks.

Other celebs to make the list: Nick Jonas banked $12.5 million last year. No word on what the other Jonas’ made, but it probably wasn’t enough to make the list. Sorry, other two. Jaden, 13, and Willow Smith, 10, made $9 million combined. Will and Jada Pinkett Smith could take an early retirement if they just let Willow whip her hair back and forth for the next few years.

Taylor Lautner, 19, who is new to join these teen millionaire ranks pulled in $8.5 million for the last two instalments of the Twilight films. Coming in at the bottom of the list is Selena Gomez who only made $5.5 million to Bieber’s $53 million. They may be the grossest inappropriately groping underage couple, but their gender dynamics are very traditional. At only $5.5 million, Gomez might as well be barefoot in the kitchen recreating scenes from “Monte Carlo.” Surprisingly Dakota Fanning, 17, only made $4 million last year, mostly due to her role in Twilight Franchise “Breaking Dawn,” because good acting in indie films like “The Runaways” doesn’t bring home the cash. Her little sis made the list at 13 years old, Elle Fanning, mad $1.5 million for Super 8. –HS

Nude Statues Of Justin Bieber And Selena Gomez

If you were ever worried about Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez fading away, a distant memory of 2011, fear no more: the teen stars have been immortalized in “Justin and Selena as One,” a life-sized portrait from sculptor Daniel Edwards, the Dallas Observer reported on Tuesday.

“Justin and Selena as One,” which the artist said will eventually be cast in bronze, depicts the teens almost completely nude, save for a Canadian maple leaf and Texas “lone star” concealing their respective nether regions. The portrait will be presented at New Fine Arts, an adult mega store in Dallas, at a later date.

Edwards explained the piece in a statement provided to HuffPost:

“Justin and Selena as One” features the ‘Adam and Eve’ couple conjoined at the torso, each seeming to emerge from the other’s rib. Together, they have three legs, sharing Selena’s right leg as she appears to lead the younger Justin toward ‘Eden’. The pair is being led by an amorous Canada goose and Texas armadillo.

Edwards told HuffPost that his latest piece is partly a comment about how the couple has been portrayed in the media. “The press kind of rushes these stars through their adolescence and through adulthood, so there’s a bit of that behind the piece,” he said. Gomez is 19 years old and Bieber is 17.

The Connecticut-based sculptor, who said he has already received negative feedback because Bieber is not yet 18, is no stranger to controversy. His previous work includes an interactive piece called “Paris Hilton Autopsy,” a nude bust of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and a bronzing of what was purported to be Suri Cruise’s first poop.

And Edwards isn’t concerned if the teen stars break up.

“All Hollywood couples remain forever,” Edwards said, recalling pairs Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton as well as Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. “Once it’s burned into your memories, it’s always there. I think it’s its own kind of icon. Despite what happens to them, that will always remain.”

Bieber's female fans threaten to kill Selena

Selena Gomez is receiving death threats from envious female fans of her boyfriend Justine Bieber after steamy snaps of the teen couple on holiday in Hawaii emerged online.

The Disney star incurred the wrath of Bieber’s fans, known as Belibers, after she was photographed frolicking in the sea, kissing the pop star with her legs wrapped around his waist at their recent trip to Hawaii, reports the Daily Mail.

“I’m gonna kill ya in the night underneath your smell bed,” a jealous fan of the teen tweeted.

While one tweeted: “Stay away from Justin paedophile.”

And another angry fan wrote: “Selena Gomez is dangerously close to a long, slow painful death.”

One Facebook page: “I hate Selena Gomez cuz she is dating my man” had attracted almost 2,000 people who posted a series of derogatory comments.

While another fan warned: “If Selena Gomez breaks Justin Bieber's heart, I will break her face I will kill her without kindness.”

“She is just dating Justin for fame,” another wrote.

Bieber who has a huge fan base on Twitter and Facebook is named as the third most powerful entertainer in the world.

Lady GaGa, Oprah, Bieber 'most powerful celebs

Lady GaGa has been declared the most powerful celebrity in the world.

The 'Judas' singer ranked top on Forbes's list of the 100 most powerful celebrities, which takes into account a celebrity's income, social media and web presence, and the amount of press and TV coverage they receive.

GaGa, who earned $90 million (£56m) over the past 12 months, topped the list due to her extensive social media coverage, which includes 32 million Facebook fans and more than 10 million Twitter followers.

Last year's winner Oprah Winfrey fell to second place in 2011. Despite earning $290 million (£180m) over the past year, she notably ended her longrunning talk show Oprah earlier this week.

Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber took third place with his $53 million (£33m) earnings and extensive YouTube and Twitter presence.

The remainder of the top ten in order consists of U2, Elton John, Tiger Woods, Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi, Simon Cowell and LeBron James.

Other notable changes include Leonardo DiCaprio's jump from 71 to 15 following the release of two highly successful films over the past year, and Britney Spears somehow managing to drop off the list entirely.

In previous years, the likes of Angelina Jolie, Tom Cruise and Mel Gibson have all been named the most powerful celebrities in the world, while Winfrey herself has won the title four times in the past.

Obama arranges Justin Bieber visit to 9/11 girl

Justin Bieber has vowed to follow through with a meeting arranged by Barack Obama to a fan whose father was killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

14-year-old Payton Wall reached out to the president after her request to see the 'Baby' singer face to face was snubbed by the young superstar's team.

WENN reports that she then received an invitation from the White House to a Ground Zero ceremony marking the death of Osama Bin Laden last week, where Obama pledged to organise a meeting with her idol.

Despite skepticism from the media over his promise, TMZ claims that Obama contacted Bieber the same day and got the Never Say Never star to commit to the one-on-one during the US leg of his 'My World' tour.

However, Payton's mother Diane has since shared with the New York Daily News her doubts about the meeting ever coming to fruition.

She said: "It would be nice if [Payton] gets to meet Justin Bieber. We don't know much about it right now. I don't want to get her hopes up."

Obama and Bieber, who were recently named the two most influential figures in social media, were said to have 'hung out' in the Oval Office last year.

Justin Bieber to launch fragranced dog tags, bracelets

Teen sensation Justin Bieber is set to expand his accessories range by including fragrance-infused dog tags and bracelets.

The "Baby" hitmaker has created two designs for the My World Collection at Wal-Mart, both infused with pomegranate scents. The dog tags have been named "One Less Lonely Girl" and "Never Say Never" which will be sold for USD 10 each, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Despite being one of the world's most famous teenagers, Bieber recently revealed he has an allowance and is not allowed to touch is estimated USD 100 million fortune he has earned.

"My money is being invested. I only have a credit card, which allows me to spend a certain amount of money every month. If I reach the limit after the first week, I won't be able to buy any more stuff until the month is over. My mom is in control of that," he said.

Bieber unveils his Madame Tussauds waxwork

Teen sensation Justin Bieber has unveiled his waxwork model at Madame Tussauds in London.

The 17-year-old singer looked delighted with his waxwork, despite the fact the model only bears a slight resemblance to the teen idol.

"It's pretty incredible to see. I'm taller but this was a point in time. It looks awesome, thanks very much," the Daily Mail quoted him as saying.

The pop star asked his mother to come up on stage, saying to her: "It [the sculpture] doesn''t have any facial hair."

He then gave the wax work a hug, but refused to kiss it in front of photographers.

He later added: "I''m just taking him home with me!"

Bieber worked closely with the team who created his waxwork, giving sittings in New York last year.

And stylists teamed up with the singer's personal hair stylist to ensure his once legendary hairstyle was the exact replica of the original cut.

The unveiling was broadcast live for the first time in the museum''s history on a special website revealed by Bieber on the Twitter website earlier in the day.

Replicas of the teenager were simultaneously unveiled at Tussauds attractions in Amsterdam and New York.

The London and Amsterdam models are identical but the New York wax work wears an outfit donated by the star.

When female fans invaded Justin Bieber's privacy

Pop singer Justin Bieber was left infuriated after two of his teenage female fans sneaked into his Liverpool hotel room posing as cleaners.

He was further miffed after the girls aged 16 and 18 years began clicking photographs of his "highly personal" items.

"The hotel was swamped by fans all desperate to catch a glimpse of Justin. But two particularly enterprising girls snuck in through a side entrance, and stole two housekeeping outfits," mirror.co.uk quoted a source as saying.

"After ditching their regular clothes and slipping into their new costumes, they got the lift to Justin's suite and knocked on the door, calling 'housekeeping'. Having been allowed in, the girls began half-heartedly polishing tables and dusting surfaces.

"No one clocked on until the girls were alone, and in his bedroom, taking pictures of his personal possessions on their phones. A member of Justin's entourage in another part of the suite heard them giggling and came through, catching them in the act.

"The girls, following a telling-off, were evicted from the premises," the source added.

The singer checked out of his 750-pounds-a-night hotel suite after Friday's incident and slept in his tour bus.

Cheryl Cole 'pretended to kiss Bieber'

Cheryl Cole allegedly gave Justin Bieber "a pretend snog" at last week's Brit Awards.

The Sunday Mirror reports that the 'Promise This' singer jumped on the unsuspecting Bieber with her hand over his mouth after she spotted him glancing over.

"Cheryl was in great spirits. She kept catching Justin staring over at her. So she surprised him and pretended to kiss him," a source claimed.

While the X Factor judge left the Brits without a gong despite her two nominations, the 16-year-old 'Baby' singer won the 'International Breakthrough Act' trophy.

Justin Bieber film a solid bid for credibility

LOS ANGELES: Setting out to demonstrate that overnight sensations deserve respect too, Justin Bieber should make believers out of all but the most hardened of skeptics with "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never," which opens Friday.

An energetic 3D portrait of the global superstar as a down-to-earth teen from small-town Canada, the 105-minute documentary works overtime (by about 10 minutes too long) to change his perception from fluke Internet phenom to the hardest working 16-year-old on the planet.

And it generally succeeds, too, thanks to a visually energetic approach by director Jon Chu that keeps all the obligatory backstage/onstage bits moving fluidly.

In a business where timing is everything, the Paramount release is perfectly positioned for maximum impact especially considering an ambitious media blitz that saw Bieber extending his demographic reach with appearances on "The Daily Show" and "Late Show With David Letterman."

Unlike, say, the 2009 Jonas Brothers 3D concert film, which felt like it came out a couple of years too late, "Never Say Never" is striking while the fever's still hot, which should translate into more Miley-sized returns. "Hannah Montana" debuted to $31.1 million three years ago, and "Jonas Brothers" to just north of $12 million.

Starting off, appropriately, on a YouTube page, where Bieber famously overtook the sneezing pandas and cute kitties singing a cover of Chris Brown's "With You," the film follows the trajectory of its main man's career from behind his kiddie drum kit to the mighty Madison Square Garden stage, which, incidentally, was sold out in a mere 22 minutes.

Along the way we meet his young, devout Christian single mom, Pattie (who gave birth to The Bieb when she was all of 18) and his baby-faced manager, Scooter Braun, not to mention several of his more famous, early adherents, including Usher and prolific producer Antonio "L.A." Reid, who in the remarkably self-possessed Bieber saw a musical Macaulay Culkin.

Director Chu, who infuses the film with the same lively zip he lent "Step Up 3D" (although here he's working with a more intriguing "script"), keeps things disarmingly real for the most part, and even manages to work in a little drama when it appears Bieber's raggedy voice may not bounce back in time for the MSG gig.

And much like in Chu's previous film, the 3D pops mainly in the performance sequences, in which he's joined by the likes of Usher, Cyrus, Ludacris and Jaden Smith, where all the fist-pumping, dancing lasers and cascading ticker tape work to heightened effect.

But where the film ultimately hits home is with the more intimate, backstage stuff.

Under the protective wing of an on-the-road support system serving as, in the words of one of his crew, a highly functional dysfunctional family, Bieber manages to make his film's inspirational message heard loud and clear:

Despite your preconceived notions, he's just your average, everyday multiplatinum-selling teen idol who still likes to kick back with his Stratford, Ontario, homies and grab a slice at the corner pizza joint.

After saying grace, naturally.

Abhishek stuck by Justin Bieber!

Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan has promised his niece Navya Naveli that he will listen to international teen sensation Justin Bieber's songs, but his composer friend Vishal Dadlani is asking him to stay away from the teen sensation.

"My promise to my niece this new year that i'll start listening to Justin Beiber. oh god help me..... guess never say never!!!! (sic)," Abhishek posted on his Twitter page.

To this, Vishal of music composer duo Vishal-Shekhar, commented: "OH. MY. GOD!!! Run, AB, run!! That whiny-girl voice, those syrupy songs, it's a fate worse than death!"

The composer has also invited Abhishek to bring his 13-year-old niece for one of his shows.

"Bring her to the show, yo! We'll get her off that bieber-music. Promise!" Dadlani posted.

Justin Bieber as influential as President Obama?

Can you imagine a teenage pop sensation being almost as influential as the President?

Well, looks like its happened! Justin Bieber’s name is everywhere, so it kind of makes sense that he has been ranked as being almost as influential as President Barack Obama.

The site Klout measures peoples’ influence through various social networking media and ranked Bieber pretty high up.
Bieber was not only on top when it came to musical figures, but he was only second to Obama.
Apparently Obama was ranked number one, but he has a youngster gaining on him.
Others who made the list include Sarah Palin and LeBron James.

Usher 'buys Bieber Christmas gifts'

Usher has reportedly bought his protégé Justin Bieber some expensive gifts for Christmas.

According to The Sun, the 'OMG' singer was seen at New York outlet Andrew Buckler buying a sweater, jeans and a shirt for the teen star.

A source said: "He told the staff he was shopping for Justin. He was talking about Bieber's clothing size to make sure he would get the right fit for him."

Bieber had previously joked that he hoped Usher would buy him a motorbike, after he had been given a Range Rover for his 16th birthday.

Justin Bieber Prevails in American Music Awards

Evidently, Justin Bieber ruled the American Music Awards when he snapped all four prizes in one night. The 38th annual American Awards was conducted last Sunday night at the Los Angeles Nokia Theater, where Bieber was hailed “Artist of the Year”.

Apart from that, this 16 year-old pop star also won 3 other statuettes for favorite pop album for his My World 2.0 album, favorite pop artist, as well as the breakthrough artist. He won in all categories where he was nominated. Bieber was discovered by Scooter Braun, along with Eminem in 2008 upon seeing his videos on YouTube.

This young heartthrob outran other popular artists such as Eminem, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga for the top-prized awards. The winners were decided by the votes of fans, which expectedly gave Bieber the advantage from most of the teenage girls’ votes around the world.

Going into the Sunday’s event, Eminem, as well as Lady Antebellum headed the candidates with five nominees each. Eminem, who didn’t attend the event, fell behind Bieber when he just won two prizes for the favorite male rap/hip-hop artist and best rap/hip-hop for his album, Recovery, against Bieber’s three awards, while Lady Antebellum won the best country group.
