Paula, Nicole get death threats

`X Factor` judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger have received death threats after they voted out contestant Drew.

Her mentor on the show, Simon Cowell, too was visibly angry at the elimination and refused to speak to the other judges. Drew’s angry fans have taken to twitter to blast Abdul and Scherzinger and some even went so far as to post death threats. “@NicoleScherzy @paulaabdul go die,” a tweet said. The two judges are said to be ‘shocked’ at the public anger. “Paula and Nicole have been really shocked by the reaction they have had, immediately after the show they were being bombarded with messages angry fans who supported Drew,” the Daily Mail quoted a source as saying. Other fans said that the two women ‘deserved all the hate’.

Pop star Nichole Scherzinger has released a very sexy photo ahead of the release of her new single ‘Wet’ and shows her in a shower, Zee News reports.

The former ‘Pussycat Dolls’ singer managed to keep her composure intact despite the want of a tinkle with all the running water.

The still was taken from the video for her new single, which will be released on August 18.

Meanwhile, her boyfriend and F1 star Lewis Hamilton gifted McLaren teammate Jenson Button victory in the Hungarian Grand Prix after spinning in the rain.

Nicole Scherzinger denies Lewis Hamilton engagement report

Nicole Scherzinger has denied renewed press speculation that she has become engaged to Lewis Hamilton.

The X Factor USA judge's father Alfonso Valiente was quoted in yesterday's Mail on Sunday as saying: "You know about the proposal? Yes, they are engaged. My future son-in-law is a really nice guy, really down-to-earth. My family all like him."

However, Scherzinger has now denied the reports, tweeting: "Lewis and I woke up this morning and read we were engaged! Sorry to disappoint u all but its not true:)"

She has been dating Formula 1 driver Hamilton for three years, although the couple briefly separated in 2010.

Scherzinger is currently preparing for the US television premiere of The X Factor on September 21.

Hamilton, who won the Formula 1 world championship in 2008, is currently in fourth place in the world drivers' championship with 109 points.

He makes a voice cameo in Disney Pixar's Cars 2, which is released in the UK this Friday.

Nicole Scherzinger, Hamilton engaged?

Singer Nicole Scherzinger has got engaged to F1 champion Lewis Hamilton, according to her father.

"You know about the proposal? Yes they are engaged," showbizspy.com quoted Alfonso Valiente as saying.

"My future son-in-law is a really nice guy, really down-to-earth. My family all like him. The good spirit is there," he added.

Alfonso, 52, says he met Lewis last year after the couple spent a week with him and his family on the Hawaiian island of Oahu and the sportsman left a good impression.

"When he walked into the house for the first time he picked up one of the babies, that went down very well.

"He is sincere and he and my daughter seem genuinely happy together. Lewis is a really good guy. When they came to visit, we hired them a Jeep because he had never driven one before," he added.

However, a spokesman for the 25-year-old Hamilton refused to confirm their engagement.

Nicole Scherzinger: 'Killer Love'

It may have stalled more times than our 1998 Ford KA, but after three years on blocks, Nicole Scherzinger's solo career is finally rolling. Given the singer's tendency to mic-hog during her Pussycat Dolls days, a solo LP has always seemed like an obvious and natural step, but truth be told, the words "GaGa" and "cast-offs" sprung to mind when we heard RedOne was overseeing the project. Nonetheless, has Scherzy managed to carve out her own sound on her debut?

The record's trailer singles 'Poison' and number one smash 'Don't Hold Your Breath' indicate a distinctly more pop - dare we say, Euro-dance - sound compared to her previous lacklustre R&B efforts, while the club-ready beats are a fair indication of the remainder of the record.

The highlights? Electro-pumper 'Killer Love', 'Only Girl In The World'-esque 'Wet' and 'Club Banger Nation' - a track that wouldn't sound out of place in a Berlin teknoclub. The subject matter ranges from sexual torture on the title track (oo-er!) to standing by your man on the Sting-assisted 'Power's Out', to, well, having a good old-fashioned knees-up.

Production-wise, it's an album of two halves. Much like the singles, the uptempos remain as glossy and textured as her perfectly tousled hair, but everything starts to flatline towards the back-end due to a case of too-many-ballads syndrome.

Future singles? Of the remaining 11 tracks, we'd say she's got four options: 'Killer Love', 'Right There', 'Wet' and 'Club Banger Nation' - although we'll admit to having a soft spot for 'Desperate' too.
Overall Killer Love is a sturdy debut from the part-time X Factor judge that, in part, lives up to her promise of being "in your face and strong". However, at 14 tracks the cohesion is lost the latter half, only made worse by a string of ballads that lack the personality and character oozing from the record's dancier moments. That said, there's enough here to ensure she won't be digging out for her former Dolls' phone numbers any time soon.

Nicole Scherzinger has stage fright

Former Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger is so shy that she still prays for confidence before she goes onstage.

As a teenager, devout Catholic Nicole, whose grandad is a preacher in Hawaii, would grip her parents’ hands and beg God to calm her crippling stage nerves.

In the Dolls she held pre-gig prayer sessions with the others. Even now, before each solo gig, she clasps her hands skywards and slips into a trance.

“As a teenager, Nicole would be gripped by fear and felt she couldn’t go on stage unless she connected to God,” the Mirror quoted scout Betsy Kronish, who saw Nicole win the Kentucky State Fair’s Coca-Cola Talent Classic contest at the age of 15, as saying.

“She’s a perfectionist. She came to us a shy, shy girl who wouldn’t talk to anyone, but who had a deep yearning to sing. She and her parents are deeply religious – they came to every one of her shows and the three of them would pray in unison before Nicole sang. Religion is a huge part of her family. She tells me she still prays before she goes onstage,” Kronish added.

Praying For DWTS Energy

Braving the parking perils of Los Angeles, Nicole Scherzinger was spotted out and about on Saturday afternoon (May 22).

The “Don’t Cha” babe looked a bit frantic as she dug through her purse for some change to feed the parking meter.

As for her continuing competition on “Dancing With the Stars,” Nicole told press it’s getting tougher by the week.

She pleaded, “We’re going to need your energy and love and prayers for this one,” as she talked about her stress over learning four new dances.

Scherzinger wants special needs music camp

Dancing With The Stars contestant Nicole Scherzinger has said that she wants so start a music camp for people with special needs.

Speaking to Los Angeles's Talk radio station, the Pussycat Dolls singer said the idea was inspired by her aunt, who has Down's syndrome.

"I grew up with my aunt who is actually younger than me because my grandmother had her at an older age and she has Down's syndrome," the 31-year-old said.

"I used to tell my girls in the Pussycat Dolls that I would have my own musical camp or school where I would teach people with special disabilities or Down's syndrome."

Scherzinger revealed that she would like to be an advocate for people with Down's syndrome.

“I want to bring awareness to how special people with Down's syndrome [are],” she

Scherzinger calls it splits with Hamilton

Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger has split up from her boyfriend, Formula One racing driver Lewis Hamilton.

They have ended their 20-month romance because they want to "focus fully" on their respective careers, reports thesun.co.uk.

"They have decided to go their separate ways. They want to focus fully on their careers and will remain close friends," reads a statement from their spokesperson.

Friends of the couple are shocked because Scherzinger and Hamilton loved each other implicitly and were very happy.

"It's sad because they did love each other. When you saw them trackside together they were always laughing and Nicole would give him a little peck on the cheek before the race. But they had to be realistic. There was no way they would continue their careers and stay together - it was too stressful. No one else is involved - their careers just got in the way," said a friend of the couple, on condition of anonymity.

Hamilton is based in Switzerland, while Scherzinger is in the US. In December, it was reported the couple hadn't seen each other in almost a month and even scrapped plans to spend Christmas together.

The couple first met at the MTV Europe Music Awards in November 2007 and started dating in May 2008.

Pussycat Dolls split in row over Scherzinger?

American pop girls group The Pussycat Dolls has called it a day, amid jealous rows over the rising profile of lead singer Nicole Scherzinger, girlfriend of British motor racing ace Lewis Hamilton.

Band member Kimberly Wyatt confirmed Saturday that the group were taking a long break to consider their future, fuelling speculation that it's all over for the band who formed in LA in 2003, reports mirror.co.uk.

"The girls and I have just finished our huge world tour and are taking a break from the band and doing our own thing... We're all concentrating on our own projects and deciding what the future will hold," said Wyatt.

Rumours are rife that tensions have been mounting in the Pussycat camp for several months. The five-member ensemble has been divided by jealousy over the star treatment being meted out to their lead singer.

Earlier this year Scherzinger, 31, was singled out for special mention on the group's "Slumdog Millionaire" single "Jai jo", which was billed as The Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole Scherzinger.
