`X Factor` judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger have received death threats after they voted out contestant Drew.

Her mentor on the show, Simon Cowell, too was visibly angry at the elimination and refused to speak to the other judges. Drew’s angry fans have taken to twitter to blast Abdul and Scherzinger and some even went so far as to post death threats. “@NicoleScherzy @paulaabdul go die,” a tweet said. The two judges are said to be ‘shocked’ at the public anger. “Paula and Nicole have been really shocked by the reaction they have had, immediately after the show they were being bombarded with messages angry fans who supported Drew,” the Daily Mail quoted a source as saying. Other fans said that the two women ‘deserved all the hate’.

I have never been drunk

Paula Abdul has claimed that she has never been drunk.

In an interview on CBS Sunday Morning, the Live To Dance host denied rumours that she abuses drugs and alcohol, insisting that her odd behaviour is simply a part of her "goofy" personality.

"I've never had a drinking problem. Even though I've been in this business for quite some time," she explained.

"I've never physically been drunk in my life. I've never been drunk in my life! I don't use recreational drugs. But I am goofy."

Abdul went on to defend her intellect, challenging those who might doubt her intelligence.

"I am intelligent. I am," she said. "Having a brain, that's a concept, yes, with Paula Abdul. I have a brain."

Paula Abdul doesn't know what's Diwali

Grammy winner Paula Abdul (American Idol) did not know till November four what was Diwali, most popular festival of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains.

One follower tweeted her on November four: "Tomorrow is Indian Festival Diwali".

Abdul re-tweeted: "what's Diwali? sounds cool....."

Her followers replied: "Festival of Lights", to which she sent the re-tweet—"thank you! sending you love and *hugs* for that!"

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) on Saturday said: "Since Hollywood and other entertainment industry had worldwide reach and affected the lives of many around the globe, Hollywood/entertainment bigwigs/celebrities should become familiar with at least basics of world religions to understand the feelings of their audiences better."

Paula Julie Abdul, 48, is an American TV personality-singer-dancer-actress.

Diwali, the festival of lights, aims at dispelling the darkness and lighting up the lives and symbolizes the victory of good over evil.

Simon is still a bad boy

Paula Abdul has said that she believes Simon Cowell will be a good husband to fiancee Mezhgan Hussainy.

The 47-year-old admitted that Cowell's engagement came as a surprise and insisted that it is "left to be determined" whether the record mogul will soften up once he is married.

"I know Simon so well and honest to God, I think he's at that stage in his life where he's a grown-up Simon now, making him a great and loving husband," Abdul explained to People.

"But he still has that little bad boy in him."

She added: "It took me about 12 days to take my jaw off the ground and put it back up [after I found out].

"But Mezghan is a lovely girl and I've known her for a long time. They make a great couple and I'm happy for them."

Abdul recently revealed that she thinks American Idol will continue to be successful even after Cowell's departure.

Paula Abdul's "Got To Dance"

Jumping back into her career as a judge, Paula Abdul is set to work on a brand new show on CBS.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the former “American Idol” judge will be the lead judge, executive producer, creative partner, mentor and coach on “Got to Dance” which is based on an already popular British dance competition.

The new show will involve everything from "ballroom to breakdance, bhangra to ballet and tap to tango." The acts will compete before a panel of judges, and viewers will vote for their favorites during the semifinals and finals.

The program is likely to be a mid-season replacement, which could mean that Ms Abdul will go head-to-head with “American Idol” in 2011.

Back To “American Idol?”

Her departure from “American Idol” drew mixed reviews from fans, and now Paula Abdul may be heading back to the popular talent show.

According to a report, the “Straight Up” songstress’ absence has had an adverse effect on ratings and the show’s producers are secretly wooing her back to her judge’s seat.

n inside source told press, “They want Paula back. They’re not sure if she’d be the fifth judge, but they are talking to her.”

“People tuned in to see Paula’s wacky antics and her chemistry with Simon. The show is just not as much fun to watch without her.”

Juicy Offer for Paula Abdul

Paula Abdul raised a lot of eyebrows when she turned down a $2-million-dollar offer to be a host in Dancing with the Stars.

But good things may still be coming her way. ABC has offered her $1 million dollars to bring back the classic TV talent contest Star Search. If Paula is to accept this offer, she will be not only one of the judges on the show, but also the host.

This deal may not be as juicy money wise as the one from Dancing with the Stars, but it certainly raises her from a mere judge to the main star of a program where she'd be literally "running the show".
