First Bollywood actor on the cover of a gay magazine

Imran Khan has become the first Bollywood actor to feature on the cover of a gay magazine in India.

The Delhi Belly star appears in the new issue of Bombay Dost.

Wearing faded jeans and a pigeon-imaged T-shirt, he poses above the tagline: "A Bollywood Brokeback... Why not? Imran Khan comes out with a startling revelation."

Khan told the magazine: "It is flattering to be called a gay icon. I have always been a supporter of gay rights."

Devansh Patel, Bollywood columnist with the Harrow Observer, told Digital Spy: "Imran Khan has been a strong supporter for the gay community in India and across the globe.

"So him being on the cover should be a much-needed boost for the gay community, that they've got one of India's top actors to back them."

Khan appeared to kiss Ranbir Kapoor on the lips while filming an episode of Koffee with Karan earlier this year.

The two stars also featured in a parody of Tarun Mansukhani's gay-themed release Dostana while hosting the 2009 Filmfare Awards.

Celina Jaitley is the Hindi film figure considered to be the most widely associated with the Indian gay rights movement.

Video of Shah Rukh Khan item song ‘Antenna’ released

MUMBAI: The video of long awaited song ‘Antenna’ featuring Bollywood icon Shahrukh Khan has been released.

Amidst magnanimous projects like 'Ra.One' and 'Don 2', Shah Rukh Khan was so pressed for time to get more involved into his home production's next offering 'Always Kabhi Kabhi' that the superstar wanted to in a way gift something to the movie that would bear the renowned SRK trademark and that was how the promotional song of the film "Antenna" was born.

In spite of having a packed schedule and being busy with the post production work of his films Shah Rukh Khan was involved with the song right from its nascent stages - from coming up with the beats and approving the lyrics,to going over various compositions for the song to even shooting for the video in a record breaking time.

Sources say that Shah Rukh Khan was present for almost all of the music sittings that Roshan Abbas and Pritam had arranged for he was completely involved in the making of the song from the lyrics composition, the visualizing of the music video and the likes. He even shot for the song in a flat 3 hours. SRK has always wanted to gift something to the film and "Antenna" seemed appropriate.

Gay rights work to bring honour to Kim Cattrall

GLAAD Media Awards is set to honour 'Sex and the City' star Kim Cattrall for her gay rights work late this month.

The actress, best known for playing feisty Samantha Jones in the racy franchise, will be handed the Golden Gate Award at the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation ceremony in San Francisco, California.

Recipients are picked for doing work which increases 'the understanding and visibility' of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

"Kim Cattrall has not only grown acceptance of our community through story lines on shows like Sex and the City but used her platform to speak out for equality. We are proud to honour such a talented and passionate advocate," the Daily Express quoted GLAAD president Jarrett Barrios as saying.

The prize giving, hosted by Glee star Naya Rivera, will be held at the San Francisco Marriot Marquis on 14 May.

A unique gay item song ATARIYA Mein, in Dunno Y, Na Jaane Kyun, considered as India's Brokeback Mountain' was shot in Goa, wherein all the gays were specially flown for the 'Gay Party'..

An insider who was present for the shoot revealed that it was very amusing to see the whole gay contingent having a party time in Goa...And NARY, considered the Queen amongst them, was acting like the 'Queen of Sheeba' with everyone at her beck and call..Infact NARY had more 'Nakras' than any bollywood queen.

She had an army of special attendants, a very special van, and all other trappings of a Queen B..

Infact after every shot, she had an attendant, who went and checked the monitor and informed her about her sizzling moves, during the shoot..And only when she checked it personally, were the other gays, dressed in drag clothes, were allowed to see it.

And NARY was very particular about her dance moves, almost to perfection...No wonder it has turned out so well, that will make the other 'Item Queens' envious of her.
