After working back-to-back to complete her films, appearances and brand endorsements, Ameesha Patel is all set to go even more steamy, racy and hotter in the Sunny Deol-starrer Bhaiyaaji Superhit, directed by Neeraj Pathak. Ameesha will be wearing a bikini in the film in which she essays the role of a diva.

The actress recently completed the final schedule of Abbas Mustan's Race 2 that also has her in a sexy avatar.

Meanwhile, along with her business partner Kuunal Goomer, she has been busy with the music of their upcoming home production, Desi Magic. They are happy with the way Lalit Pandit has been working with so much passion to create some fantastic music.


Post Munni Badnam in Dabangg, Lalit has been working on various kinds of songs for Desi Magic. The film will also have an item song as well.

Says a source, `Ameesha is loving her role in the film. She is very excited that in all her upcoming five films that release in 2013 her roles are distinct in every film, whether it's Race 2 to Neil Nitin Mukesh's film to Bhaiyaji Superhit or to her own home production, Desi Magic.`

Regarding all the buzz and speculation that goes around about her Ameesha says, `I'd rather focus on my work and let my work speak. Everyone is doing their jobs in life and everyone has a way of going about things their own way. If a small percentage of people say anything, one shouldn't get affected in life.`


She adds, `I'm happy my fans are looking forward to seeing me on screen after a while and that's what matters to me. As of now the only way I want to move ahead is by focusing on my films and production house. I'm loving my life and it's a very exciting phase for me. I am looking forward to the things which are lined up for me ahead.`

With a brand new body Ameesha is raring to go

With a brand new body and a jam-packed social calendar over the next four months, Ameesha Patel is raring to go

Ameesha has just returned back home from a London trip with her business partner Kuunal Goomer. After being on a location hunt for their maiden home-production Paradise Street, they are already feeling the heat back in Mumbai.

But Ameesha’s happy that she’ll be dodging the summer soon, as she is scheduled to shoot in Istanbul for practically half of next month for Race 2.

A source says, “Ameesha’s birthday is on June 9. So she might also be celebrating it in Turkey itself with the entire cast and crew. With lots of interesting things lined up for IIFA Awards (that takes place during the same time), she is trying to squeeze in as much work as possible.”

Ameesha who has just completed Shortcut Romeo with Neil Nitin Mukesh, is apparently very excited with the way the film has shaped up. The actor also begins shooting her film with Sunny Deol next week and is very excited about her role in it.

“She will need a gap of at least month in August post-Race 2 to prepare for David Dhawan’s film. She needs time get into the skin of character as she will be playing a hooker for the first time, ” adds the source.

The source also informed us that the actress is very kicked about a double role in a film that her partner Kuunal Goomer has been working on since a couple of months. “She feels that this double role will be her best role ever and the details of the same shall also be announced soon, ” adds the source.

Amidst the hectic schedule, Ameesha and Kuunal who are huge cricket fans will also be watching a couple of IPL games live. In fact the two also plan to invest in the next season of the game.

The actress also feels that Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Mumbai Indians stand a very good chance of entering the finals. Lastly, keeping in shape for films like Race 2, Bhaiyaji Superhit, Paradise Street and Shortcut Romeo is a challenge and she is enjoying every moment of it!

After shedding her old image, Ameesha Patel is now shooting for three films simultaneously and has pushed her home production to July

Ameesha Patel's maiden venture as a producer, directed by David Dhawan, has been pushed till July due to her busy schedule.

The actress, who is currently working on Shortcut Romeo with Neil Nitin Mukesh, Superhit Bhaiiyaji with Sunny Deol and Abbas Mustan's Race 2, ironically, has no dates to lend for her own home production tentatively titled, Paradise Street.

Hot new image
We hear that Ameesha will be seen in a brand new hot and sexy look in the film. The petite actress recently had a look test for the film.

She strongly feels that her new image is something she loves and takes it as a challenge to portray this new image with elegance and class.

She has been sweating it out in the gym to get the hot bod and the results have already started showing. She has been getting a lot of compliments from almost all directors, actors and producers. Her face looks fresher than ever and she believes that 2012 and 2013 will be the best years of her life.

About the film

A source reveals, "Paradise Street is set in the 1960s and is based in Paris. Ameesha plays a hooker for the first time. The story has been written by Yunus Sajawal and it's a two-hero film."

David Dhawan who is currently busy with the last schedule of Chashm-e-Buddoor will start working on detailed scripting and signing actors for the film post April.

Ameesha says, "We wanted our first film to be something that we all would be proud of and Paradise Street for sure is something we all are very excited about. "

Different ideas

Writer Yunus Sajawal has been working with David Dhawan since many years. Apart from writing for all the films in Rohit Shetty's Golmaal franchise, he has also written Shetty's next, Chennai Express.

"Working with Yunus is a pleasure and his ideas are always very different. He also believes that Davidji's film is very different from the regular comedies that he has been making, " says Ameesha. Musician duo, Sajid-Wajid has been roped in to score the music for the film.

"When Davidji casually met Sajid-Wajid and narrated them a one-liner, they immediately fell in love with the concept and are very excited to work with us on this project" ends Ameesha.

Ameesha to turn item girl

The decision was taken after Yash Chopra recently complimented the actress on her dancing prowess.

Ameesha Patel is all set to carve a new space for herself in Bollywood. The actress is very keen to do item numbers in not only her own productions but also for other banners.

At the recently held Apsara awards, Amesha Patel was the surprise performer. In fact given all the applause pouring in from not just the organisers at Wizcraft, but even Yash Chopra personally praising her for her performance, Ameesha now is keen to do more item numbers.

Interestingly just with one day's practice, the actress danced to the tracks Chikni Chameli and Ooh La La on the stage. Ameesha who will leave for Delhi soon will also perform on these songs at a high profile wedding.

And it's not just for her dancing skills, but Ameesha is also being paid a lot of compliments lately for her looks. The directors of Race - Abbas and Mustan - recently told her that when they saw her on the sets of Race 2, they felt that she had done a wonderful job of maintaining herself over the years.

Ameesha Patel to turn producer?

Ameesha Patel is reportedly planning to turn her hand to producing films.

The Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai actress is rumoured to be holding a launch party to celebrate the opening of her own production house, Mumbai Mirror reports.

A source told the paper: "Ameesha has a lot of interesting content which she wants to convert into films.
"Very soon, she shall be appointing a team full of promising and accomplished directors to start making movies for her."

Going behind the scenes is a popular second career choice in the industry, with actresses Sushmita Sen and Vidya Balan considering production and direction respectively.

Patel made her debut in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai but took a short break after making the romance Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic.

However, since her return to the industry she has lined up Run Bhola Run and Chatur Singh Two Star.

Amisha accuses Kangna of using cheap publicity stunts

Declares Ameesha Patel about the Dutts, making pointed retorts at Kangna Ranaut by saying "co-stars come and go"

Dutt loyalists Kangna Ranaut and Ameesha Patel haven't exactly seen eye-to-eye for quite some time now.

As reported 'Kangs edges Ameesha out' (Hitlist, February 16), Kangna was proving to be more closer to Sanjay and Maanayata than the Patel girl.

Says a source, "Ameesha has been fuming ever since. This happened because Patel was absent at a couple of the Dutts' events. Almost immediately, there was buzz of a fallout."

The Patel gal was out of Mumabi for a show when the the buzz reached here. An upset Manaayata called her pal immediately. Ameesha was shocked as she had always been cordial to Kangs when they met."

Adds the source, "Ameesha has decided she has had enough. If she meets Kangna at a social event, she has decided to snub her. Patel feels Ranaut is behind this.

She has no issues with Kangna but won't allow her name and friendship with the Dutts to be tarnished at any cost."

The source continues, "Films have never mattered to Ameesha more than relationships, so to be accused of getting upset for losing films to Kangna, implied that she had got close to the Dutts to enhance her career. That is far from the truth.

In fact, few know that when Maanayata was about to deliver, it was Ameesha (not Kangna) who had driven down immediately to Breach Candy Hospital to be with her right from the beginning till Sanju came in from Dubai.

The Dutts consider her as family and have said they will do her kanyadaan when she gets married. Kangna is just a co-star for Sanju, not a friend."

Ameesha says, "I can't help it if people (Kangna?) use cheap publicity stunts to be in the news. I can't be caught in that web. Co-stars can come and go. Sanju and Maana will always be family."

Ameesha Patel calls Veena Malik a fake

It is reported that actress Ameesha Patel was shocked to see Pakistani actress Veena Malik, at her brother Ashmit Patels's Birthday bash. The actress tried her best to avoid Veena throughout the celebration.

Ameesha seemed to be very miffed about the fact that Ashmit was over-bonding with Veena in the party. She disagrees of Ashmit's choice and love interest. Ameesha placed her dislike for the sensuous beauty Veena openly on the socail networking site twitter by re-tweeting “@ameesha_patel hi Ameesha. Must let you know that @veenasmalik is a fake. While, Ashmit accepting that he wished he could have done something with Veena Malik on Bigg Boss 4 (when asked about the rumours of his having sex with Veena in the house), Ameesha has very less chance to convince her brother. Ameesha Patel is very upset with Sonakshi and her mom

Ameesha Patel and the Dutts -- Sanjay and Maanayata -- are upset that a family close to them didn't even respond to their invite

Sanjay and Maanayata Dutt and their baby shower organiser Ameesha Patel are miffed that Punam Sinha and her daughter Sonakshi didn't care to respond to their invite for the event.

Says an invitee, "It was a guest list drawn up by Maana and Ameesha, who was personally calling and messaging people. As the Sinhas have always been very close to the Dutts, they were invited too. The Sinha patriarch, Shatrughan has been part of almost every social event of the Dutts."

But, adds the source, even the ladies who were out of town at the time (like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Natasha Fardeen Khan) or unwell (Kirron Kher was down with conjunctivitis) cited their inability to attend, but the Sinha maa-beti didn't.

"Punam didn't pick up Ameesha's call, neither did she reply to her messages. Ms Patel was very upset and the Dutts felt hurt too but preferred to keep quiet about it. Ameesha even told Maana that she wouldn't have called the Sinha ladies had she known they'd snub her."

The source feels that since Sonakshi has become part of Salman Khan's inner circle of friends, she has developed an attitude."

And Punam is a star mother, now that Dabangg is a big hit. Sonakshi wasn't in town as she was in Norway promoting Dabangg with Salman on September 13. Punam could have at least told Maanayata that Sonakshi and she weren't coming, no?"

Says Punam, "So what if I couldn't call or message back? My sister, a cancer patient for eight years, suddenly had to be admitted to hospital last week. She is my priority. I couldn't even attend Sonakshi's Dabangg events."

Poonam adds, "I have been in the hospital for the last few days and it's impossible to even think of calling or messaging people from there. I have far more important stuff going on in my life.

Please understand my frame of mind and what I am going through. Even now I am sitting with my sister at home after she was discharged a day ago.

Sanju and Maana are very close to us and will always be. I hope they understand my situation..."

Ameesha Patel collapses on film set

Ameesha Patel is reported to be convalescing in hospital after collapsing on the set of her new film.

The 35-year-old star was shooting in Hyderabad when she suffered the fainting spell, and was taken to hospital.

A source revealed to Mid Day: "Ameesha just collapsed while on the set. Crew members instantly took her to a hospital where she was put on an intravenous drip."

The actress recently returned to work after the death of her grandmother.

Patel’s brother, fellow Bollywood actor Ashmit Patel, said: "Yes Ameesha was hospitalised.I think the stress of losing our grandma a few days back and the heat and dust at her shoot in Hyderabad took a toll on her."

Patel has been absent from the industry since a special appearance in Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic in 2008.

My man should do girlie things and be my 'girlfriend'

Many of Ameesha Patel's closest buddies are male.

"So the guy in my life should be able to handle that and accept their presence and friendship for what it is, " says the actress who is the cover girl for the latest issue of The Man.

Going a step further she says, "It would be nice if sometimes, my man could be my 'girlfriend', you know, comfortable doing 'girlie' things with me."

Ameesha Patel slaps elderly driver

Ameesha Patel needs some serious anger management. On Saturday evening the actress was seen in a heated exchange of words with her driver in his early 50s outside her Juhu gym. On lookers reveal that the argument took a ghastly turn as Patel assaulted her elderly chaffeur.

A passerby who witnessed the ugly incident relates, "Ameesha's new car was parked outside the gym. When she emerged after her workout, she saw a tiny scratch on the side of her car, and flipped out.

She started hurling abuses at the driver and kept asking him for an explanation. When he couldn't come up with an answer, she slapped him hard across his cheek."

Temper tantrum
This isn't the first time the actress has lost her temper on her driver. He has been driving her since her Kaho Na Pyaar Hai (2000) days and is used to her temperamental behaviour, but he has never encountered violence before. A source close to the actress adds, "Ameesha has had problems with her driver for a long time.

Recently he almost banged the car and even took her to the wrong address. He has a slight eyesight problem and despite her telling him to wear glasses he refuses to do so.

He's been with her for a long time. Her growing frustration with him has got to her. She had a narrow escape in March when a jeep rammed into her car on the Mumbai Pune Expressway."

When contacted, Ameesha out rightly denied the story. She went on to claim that she hasn't taken her car to the gym in the last three years.

"This is utterly ridiculous. Nothing of this sort has happened. My house is walking distance from the gym and I just take my driver with me to hold my umbrella. You can come to my gym and ask around if anything to this effect happened. It's all lies and I will be very unhappy if this comes out."

Kanav's car trouble
In December last year Ameesha's boyfriend Kanav's yellow Ferrari got stolen from London. Kanav even had his personalised number plates. Despite the loss, Kanav planned to get another brand new Ferrari in the coming months.

Breaking up with lover proves lucky for Amisha Patel

After she broke up with longtime boyfriend Kanav Puri, Amisha Patel is nursing her aching heart. But seeing the way things are picking up for her now, looks like the breakup wasn't all that bad after all.

Ameesha Patel splits with lover Kanav Puri

Ameesha Patel has split with her NRI boyfriend Kanav Puri. The couple split after dating for three years over differences that have arisen between them. Kanav wanted to marry Ameesha while she wants to try her hand at acting one last time, which has led to their split.

According to sources, Kanav and Ameesha's relationship has been troubled for about 8 months now.

Kanav proposed marriage to her in June when he came to India for her birthday. She has been unsure of what to do since then and didn't give him a proper answer. Kanav grew tired of waiting.

Ameesha is not desperate to get married as she has recently buried the hatchet with her family and isn't very lonely anymore. Kanav had been her support when she was alone and had broken up with Vikram Bhatt.

However, now that her family is back in her life, her relationship with Kanav is being sidelined.

It's not as if Kanav gave up easily. He came to India once again in December to ask Ameesha about her decision regarding marriage and she told him that she would want to focus on her career. They aren't on speaking terms anymore and have taken time off each other.
