"Generally speaking, this year's films haven't been all that bad - which may have been good for Indian audiences, compared to the last few years. However, our 'cracked' team of researchers has dug deep to find the worst of the lot for this year," Jatin Varma, founder, Golden Kela Awards said in a statement.

The nominees for worst film include "Ra.One", "Ready", "Bodyguard", "F.A.L.T.U.", "Mausam" and "Singham".

Top-Grossing Bollywood Actors

Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn are the only Bollywood actors whose films have grossed 100 crores (around £14m) at the box office.

3 Idiots, Ghajini, Ready, Dabangg and Golmaal 3 are the only films to have made 100 crores in the domestic market. Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots is the highest grossing Bollywood film of all time. Salman Khan's Dabangg and Ready follow in second and third place.

Devgn is next with Golmaal 3, while his recent release - the critically acclaimed Singham - continues to draw record-breaking audiences.

Trade analyst Vajir Singh told The Times of India: "Going by the extraordinary opening at single screens and a good opening at multiplexes, Singham will cross the 100 crore mark soon."

Speaking of his films' successes, Devgn said: "It feels great to have two films on the list of the biggest earners in Hindi cinema... that too through Golmaal 3 and Singham! It's unreal - much more than what we had hoped for. The flip side is that with great success comes a lot of pressure about your next film.

"Also, the success quotient changes every Friday. Today, it is my day; tomorrow it will be somebody else's. After 20 years of success and failure, it doesn't change or excite me much. Now I just try and make the audience happy. I am sure Salman and Aamir feel the same way."

Aamir, whose hit film 3 Idiots broke all opening day records, commented: "While I am very happy with the monetary success of both films, I have to confess that merely monetary success does not excite me.

"I think that films like Taare Zameen Par, Lagaan, Rang De Basanti and Dhobi Ghat enrich our emotions and have the ability to create a very positive, inspirational, happy and moving impact on us. What excites me is to be part of this life-changing experience for people and society. I thank my directors and writers for that."

Dabangg producer Arbaaz Khan said: "Salman enjoyed doing the films and the right music, action, characters and script worked for the films.

"But the business module is changing today along with a growing number of prints, theatres and multiplexes. What is a benchmark today will change with the economics of the business."

Bollywood Kajol, Ajay Devgn: Couple In First Animation Film

Kajol and Ajay Devgn, the Bollywood couple who are loved by one and all are soon to come in the first ever animation film together.

The movie titled Toonpur Ka Superhero is a mixture of real actors and animated characters, which is something quite new on Indian shores as this combo has never ever been tried in Hindi films before.

The movie Toonpur Ka Superhero will also have Kajol's mom Tanuja playing the role of her reel life mom as well.

This film is estimated to be quite an expensive one and is Ajay Devgn's home production. All hopes are pinned on this project owing to the different take on its basic subject line and idea.

Some years back the couple had come in the film which had Ajay Devgn and Kajol co starring in Ajay's home production was titled Raju Chacha and was largely a very expensive film, but it had slumped at the box office without much ado, which did not leave Ajay and Kajol very happy.

However this time with this movie Toonpur Ka Superhero having animated characters coming besides human actors is going to create quite a furore in the Hindi film market.

Even though Kunal Kohli did attempt to get comic characters in his films like Hum- Tum but it was nothing like this Toonpur Ka Superhero where the interactions of humans and animated characters are going to be the main protagonists - something like that was seen in Hollywood's Who framed Roger Rabbit in the 80's.

So if you love cartoons talking to humans or love to fantasize, this one's for you!

Basu, Devgn film gets adult certificate

Bipasha Basu and Ajay Devgn's new release Aakrosh has received an 'A' certificate.
Director Priyadarshan is reported to have been given a list of suggested cuts by the Indian Censor board, relating to the film's political violence and adult language, reports PTI.

Producer Kumar Mangat told the news agency: "They wanted us to make more than a dozen-odd cuts due to these factors. If we would have consented to that, Aakrosh would have got a U/A certificate."

Although most production houses strive to avoid getting an adult rating, Mangat explained why in this case it was preferable.

"Aakrosh wasn't designed as a kiddie flick in any case. This is a dramatic affair and inspired by related stories. It was not the best case scenario but still, given the circumstances, it is okay."

The hard-hitting project, which also features Akshaye Khanna, Paresh Rawal and Reema Sen, releases October 15.
